For me, Lorna Shore's new album "Immortal" is a close second. It is HEAVY, especially Death Portrait and King ov Deception. I understand Lorna Shore is an entirely different sub-genre of Metal but yeah that's just my two cents.

This album is simply stupendous in its depth and complexity, both musically and lyrically and conceptually - Tuomas is a genius and NightWish are the perfect vehicle for him to unleash his genius on the world 🤘
I listened to it like 4 times in a row today while I was working or cleaning the house a bit. Lovely disc to feel at peace. I also stopped doing stuff at times to look at my plants and just appreciate the beauty of our world (well, I mostly looked at my fern, because it's the cutest thing, plus a living fossil, dating back to the carboniferous and stuff. Gotta love nature)

Yeah honestly never imagined this! We didn’t even have a goal or anything we were just playing around and did a couple videos here and there without any expectation. And boom! Now we are doing this full time because of the demand. I’m so humbled by everyone’s kind words and that we get to bring some joy to the world during times like this!

Well, at least that he as an "old man" will turn it into "pancake" live. 😁 I believe this is a typically Nordic expression; if something turns into "pancake", it means that things got really messed up / failed miserably.

Incredible, phenomenal, other worldly. Tuomas is a genius. And Floor... I can't think of anything else to describe her unreal voice and presentation of Tuomas' music. Nightwish. Just. Great. Period.
The vocal movements throughout the all album are super interesting and apparently hard to do. Floor said in interviews that the hardest song to sing was Shoemaker (a song in honor of the founder of planetary science, Eugen Shoemaker, who's the only person resting on the Moon). She talked about the fact that she really had to rehearse many times, but also that the last part of the song wasn't to their (Floor and Tuomas) taste until the choir recorded and she was very impressed with the finished product. Gotta react to that one.
u should also check out a song tuomas did called a lifetime of adventure. i love the melody, hes playing the keyboards. i read up on it his wife is singing and it also says tony the singer from sonata artica is also in it and troy from nightwish is playing the guitar.
The only possible explanation to Floor's vocals is that she's a Space Marine from Warhammer 40K hand has two hearts and three lungs... I mean, when and how does she breath when she sings crazy shit like that?

I have Human :||: Nature and it's such an amazing album. My 2 favs are Tribal and Endlessness. Marko's vocals on Endlessness are so beautiful so much emotion. His best song to date.
Honestly, I would have a hard time deciding what album would be the Metal Album of 2020: 1) Nightwish - Human :||: Nature 2) Unleash the Archers - Abyss 3) Ignea - The Realms of Fire and Death All of these albums are so, so good. So good, they feel like Frito Lay's Potato Chips: So good, you can't have just one, lol.
Tuomas is really pushing Floor and the band with this new album. the melodies are really complex and you just don't hear this in any other bands. i love it
The only good thing in this pandemia that They have time to practice these difficult songs to be live ready when the tour gets moving... just hope that it does not last too long untill we see and hear these live!

The best info about the song is that Emppu called it 'Pancake' because that's how his hands would feel after playing it.
