exquisito. this is another why i love so much architecture. i feel such a pleasure. all these different architects, and their architecture make me escape from all these burden things of so many humans and their superficialities. people could live better but every day they become more apathy letting them selves in to the abandonment living in waste. for nine miserable years i have seeing house mates come to this house, they are nothing but a bunch of lice, filthy habits, more over i see A lot of people in public spaces in down town san francisco never clean their aspect after they have their lunch time, yet more people go down in to the drain of living in deplorable conditions, in misery.
Glass is an incredible element in architecture but, when you live in Northern USA glass must be double to triple pane. Was -19 degrees couple days last week. So, traditional windows are our best choice while CA, AZ, etc can experiment with glass blocks etc. We are jealous.
It's so clever and creative design. but it's so metallic for a house to live in... i think it affects the psychology and the mood.. but as a vacation house I would love to live in it for sometime.
this looks so industrious. Long steel pillars would definitely set a presupposed mood, also the night light projection seems a lifestyle of grotesque luxury.
to day i came back to watch this home again i said home because is a real home, like some other home dream. what a nostalgia, i don't know if is a torture or what but to have a home is almost impossible in this world.
One couldn't live in it as it is now; it looks terrible in this video presentation. . Needs gutting out; it the rent controll tenant still alive or has that flat been de-rent controlled? . o0o
Thank you so much for sharing this brilliant documentary about La Maison de Verre. I loved it so much. Pierre Chareau had a beautiful, creative mind!
