What an absolute darling man Alan Ladd - such great talent - actor, singer, athlete when he was younger - a runner, swimmer and champion diver training for the Olympics until an accident stopped him.
This was another excellent episode from the "Box 13" series. Please note that Alan Ladd provides the on-going narration as well as being involved in each "scene." He basically "carries" each episode. Alan Ladd was a very fine actor in the movies and in radio. I have liked him since I was a little boy. Thank you for making this fine series available for me to again enjoy.
Walter Wheeler he was pretty special a great actor and so handsome I have loved him since I saw him in Shane when I was about 10 yrs old. He was very talented in many ways if you ever read his biography. No one like him since.

@@paulinemcconville5741 I would agree with you. I take the opportunity of viewing "Shane" whenever it is on television and I have the free time. "Shane" was filmed in 1951 and not released until 1953 - a great movie!
Walter Wheeler it's nice to know this talented and beautiful man isn't forgotten . He should have got the Oscar for Shane that eluded him due to him leaving Paramount and studio politics. There is a small clip of him on TH-cam with Marilyn Monroe receiving an award for most popular actor of 1954 and as he receives it he says 'At last'. He had waited so long for the recognition. I think you will find it under Marilyn Monroe Photoplay award 1954.
Great story, like it. Didn't know that such a series exists.

Excellent. That wraps it up for the 1948 season for one of radio's best series ever. RIP Alan Ladd!
Glad you like it.
Tippersnore couldn't agree more Thankyou.
