      Both countries have same history before 1947. From the childhood, I always thought why India and Pakistan partition happened and got sad.
      Why didn't Jinnah and Nehru compromise for the goodness? Prosperity always happens in unity. What benefits we got from this partition? United India must had developed at much faster rate.

    • @AjPakistan
      @AjPakistan  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PoojaKumari-fk5ml Jinnah agreed to Cabinet Mission Plan proposal, unfortunately Nehur sb did not agree to it. The commission proposed a loose federation in India. Acceptance to this proposal would have averted the partition. but this is all water under the bridge. The two countries need to move on peacefully and stop fighting.

    Randomly popped up on my feed and the video seemed pretty interesting. The platforms look pretty clean but there ain't a lot of people using the train service I suppose. Things are similar in India except that the stations are overcrowded and there's plastic and garbage thrown everywhere. Entire subcontinent suffers from the same infrastructural problems. It doesn't help when people have the chalta hai attitude which compounds the existing problems. It annoyed me as well when there were people getting off moving trains. Have to say pleasantly surprising to see a Pakistani find humor in the existing problems/annoyances of our daily lives. It applies to us Indians as well. Good on you man.

    It is for kind information to all my Pak and Indian friends that no doubt Lahore and Delhi railway stations both have outstanding building and a good work of planned architecture. But both were constructed by British engineers before independence. Britishers paid much attention to develop railways in western India now Pakistan resulting many big cities like Rawalpindi,Peshawar. Karanchi many more important towns and cities got marvellous station building. In this seris Lucknow. Howra. Madras Central and chatrapati shivaji terminal stations have good example of architect. why are all quaralling? We should thankful to British engineers.

    Secondly people on both sides are the same. Impatient. Would disembark and hop on while the train is still moving. But clean tracks underneath surprised me unlike here in India. Commentary was also independent. Liked it.

    I bumped into this video. This video reminds of my country in 10-15 years back. It started to change once the leader passed on to the one with clear vision. Then it spreads to another sector. Still we are struggling with curroption issue even after development of independent institution for curroption investagation.
    But, young generations are the most hope for the country. Better generation with better education create smart generation who can able distinguish proper and improper things, to develop country. The more young generation encourages others to change, the more chance for the country to develop. The more women are educated, the more ability they rise better generation.

    This has a feeling of déjà vu for anyone who has seen Indian rail stations, especially the Raj relic pieces such as Mumbai VT (now CST), Howrah, Chennai, Delhi Nizamuddin and Lucknow Charbagh. Post Independence, Indian Railways accounted for 75% of passenger traffic and 90% of freight. This has now come down to some 15% and 30% respectively. Road has gained everywhere, as has air. But even these lower fractions amount to a whopping 30 million passengers and 3 million metric tons of freight every single day. Metros like Mumbai, Kolkata and even Chennai will collapse without their suburban MEMU trains. Long distance passenger trains have been going out of favour with the coming of cheap air travel, except for the high branded train series such as the Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto. And then there are the luxury trains like the Palace on Wheels and the Maharaja's Express, which have very fancy pricing and are mainly for luxury tourism. All in all, still pretty alive and going.

      @@AjPakistan Corrupt politicians are no strangers here either, it's just a matter of degrees. Corruption is a byproduct of feudal societies, and that is the default social structure across the subcontinent. To quote the legendary ex Attorney General of India, Nani Palkhivala: In the pre-Independence era, we had politicians who were every inch a gentleman. Post Independence, we had those who were every other inch a gentleman. And now we have those who are no inch gentlemen.
