    There's a boat stuck in the suez canal, maybe you can pull it out?

    How much does the equipment need to be rated for here?

    Nice mechanical advantage, lots of blocks and one long rope. Cheers

    Very nice . Ive never seen a winch of this design. What is the brand name of the winch?

    I can only count a mechanical advantage of 33:1 here. Can you tell me what I am missing that gave you 38:1? I see a 3:1 right after the winch that is pulling on the rope that has 5 pulleys on the stump with the end of the rope also attached. Each pulley on the stump gives you an additional 6 units of force for a total of 30. Then you attached the end of the rope for an additional 3, giving the whole system a mechanical advantage of 33:1. Where am I missing the other 5 units of force? Thanks!

      there is 33:1 as you say and as the text under the video says. The winch is pulling 1150 kg to be exact.

    In Finland we have this saying "tein itse ja säästin" which means that I made it by myself and saved money, which in other hand means that after all the labor and equipment costs it would have been cheaper to hire a professional or a proper machine.

      Yeah, but if you don't have the budget available to hire, your only option might be too spend the extra time yourself

      Yeah, I built a porch swing, and it came out really beautiful, but once it was done, I realized I could have bought one for half the price. :) But it was a lot of fun.

    What brand and model of line, blocks and webbing did you use, or what ratings and specs do I need to get to have the same capacity as that set up? Do you do links to your products you use?

    I love that. I can totally see myself doing something like this for fun. Did you already have all the winching equipment? If you had to buy the rope and all the snatch blocks, how much would that cost approximately?

    • @ADVideofilm
      @ADVideofilm  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We had the equipment, but I think rope and blocks about 1 700 dollars. Maybe you could buy i cheaper in US?, if you live there?

      For 1.7k I would get a chain hoist, a few extra chains and a snatchblock and save the other 1k.
