This is our first attempt at doing a reaction video over long distance, but it was so fun to do. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we liked the song and music video. Please help us with their names, there are so many to learn!

a little guide haha
yeah they are known as self producers! and since their debut has been called labeled a self producing group because of all the things the members themselves had a hand in. they’re also known as performance powerhouse, synchronization kings, and variety group! (bc they’re super funny and have no idol image at this point LOL)
scoups is the general leader but each unit (hip hop, vocal, performance) has its own leader
not only is scoups the leader of seventeen, he’s also the leader of the hip hop unit/rapline!
woozi (the short king 😭) actually writes/composes like all of their songs. and is the leader of the vocal unit! he has won producer of the year back in 2021! really put the KING in short king 😭 he’s our backbone 🫶
and hoshi is the leader of performance unit/dance line. he has a hand in choreography and is a strongggg dancer. they all are but he is leader for a reason 😳
they also have a variety show called Going Seventeen that is super popular. it had episodes that aired on tv and a separate fandom name called Cubics for people that are just fans of the show that don’t keep up w seventeen but still watch the show!
Awww thank you. So some followers are cubic and general fans are carats? I didn't know that. Also well done Woozi!!! We need to learn all the members names. So far I only know the following out of the 13:

I've been trying hard since we released this I won't lie. Even watched their Glastonbury performance and I have to be honest the rap line are my fave songs so far

@@thegissilentpodcast So, yes, the fandom names are CARAT (like the weight of a diamond) for the regular Seventeen fandom as a whole (we just love any & everything related to SVT...their music, their show, them as people, etc.), and CUBIC (like cubic zirconias 😂) for those that pretty much just watch their show, "Going Seventeen", but aren't really all that familiar with their music (although most CUBICs do turn into CARATs at some point, too!). The fandom names come from the relation to diamonds, since we consider SEVENTEEN like our "Shining Diamonds" (their pre-debut song), and so you'll see a lot 💎's & references like, "Slip into the Diamond Life", etc.
You're doing sooo well on the names already!!! 🤗 I think your reference to Wen would be JUN ("Wen" is his Chinese last name, but in Korean, his last name as written as "Moon"). It's easier to keep track of them if you learn them in age order, so I put it for you below, from oldest to youngest:
1. S. COUPS (SeungCheol)
2. JEONGHAN
3. JOSHUA
4. JUN
5. HOSHI (SoonYoung)
6. WONWOO
7. WOOZI (JiHoon)
8. *DK (SeokMin)
9. MINGYU
10. *THE8 (MingHao / MyungHo)
11. SEUNGKWAN ("Boo" is his last name, but he is often called that for short, too)
12. VERNON (HanSol)
13. DINO (Lee, Chan - Chan is his first name and Lee is his last/family name, but its reversed in Korean, and since he doesn't really ever use the 2nd syllable of his first name, then it often gets called as either Lee Chan or just Chan)
The name in caps is their stage name that is used most often, but I also put their real first names in parenthesis, since you'll come across them sometimes, too, so just wanted to make you aware of it so you don't get confused. But don't stress too much about memorizing their real names at first... It'll come naturally once you start to get to know them!
*Re. the age order with DK & The8 - The only weird thing to keep in mind is that DK & The8 switched places, so that "The8" could be #8 😂. So DK is older, but in the fan chants, etc., their places are switched.
The8 switching places to be #8 is iconic, honestly haha

I recommend fear next and then react to their dance practice. They are known for the most synchronized kpop group ever. They are also comedians so I recommend watching going seventeen too.
