Autumn Gales 2013

Autumn Gales is a rough water sea kayak event for intermediate and advanced paddlers based out of Stonington, CT, USA. The event is timed with the higher current flows of Fishers Island Sound to take advantage of the tide races in the area.
Kayak Waveology hosts the event and brings in international-known BCU coaches and local rough water guides.

I noticed the paddle leash was on the jacket not the kayak. Any reason? I keep it fastened to my kayak in case it gets away it would not let kayak blow away that fast also I can hang on to paddle and not lose the kayak. thanks

The paddle can be useful if you need to bail whereas if on boat and bail and lose kayak, you lose paddle too. I say lose I mean separated from kayak.
