Thanks for everyone involved in the Mixing of RAM...it's such a masterpiece, a benchmark and demo material, daring. Anyone who has come to my pad, I instantly play this album, and their faces...you should see them,....jaw droppings lol I run a 9.2.4 array.
Just listened to the original stereo version and the Dolby Atmos version of Get Lucky toggling back to back and... I'm sorry guys the Atmos version just sounds weak and uninspired by comparison. Maybe it's just an acclimation to hearing stereo mixes all the time, and I can appreciate how the Atmos mix sounds a bit more spread out, but it just doesn't translate well here at all.
I feel the same. Maybe if I had a Atmos Room? Stereo mixes punch harder. Atmos is good for films because cinemas have a atmos speaker setup but then even the title song only comes out of the front 2 stereo speakers.
@@roberteismann1929atmos is only really experienced in a room with speakers. Apple and Dolby have marketed binaural as if it’s “the same”. It is not at all, especially since everybody’s ears are different. Personal spacial calibration helps, but get yourself to a 7.1.4 room, and you will understand.
