M/S from the side as Elizabeth leaves the house in her wedding dress and gets into the coach, a lady holds her train and another one carries her flowers and hands them to her. A man follows, presumably her father. Various shots as a guard escorts the coach past waving people. M/S as Prince Albert leaves Buckingham Palace in his coach, they ride through the gates and everyone cheers. M/S of Elizabeth arriving at the Abbey she stands up to get out of the coach.

My great-grandmother attended the wedding, well not the actual wedding but she was outside with the crowd, she was a 4 year old child and she still remembers that. She is alive

Apparently Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon was not in love with the Duke of York when they married. She married out of duty, and the "falling in love" bit came later. However, she was the perfect wife for him, and they would make a great team as King and Queen.
Only she knows. Please don’t say that.

She was afraid she would be stifled by
the restrictions of royal life. King George and Queen Mary must have seemed formidable. Lady Elizabeth was a lively, outgoing young lady while strict court etiquette had hardly changed since Edward VII time. What is more being the wife of a royal duke (George was not the heir at the time) wasnt such an attractive deal.
