VA2FSQ here. Nice video. For tuning there is quite a bit more than you mentioned. You can click on a digit in the VFO and use the mouse wheel to tune up and down. Thus you can go by MHz if you want to. The spectrum, is really the best place to tune. It supports the mouse wheel and there are a lot of configuration options for this. These are selectable by a right click in the spectrum. The most important feature of Win4Icom is its built in virtual radios allowing up to 6 software or hardware products to share the single comport on the radio. So you can select the best software you wish for digital modes as well as any logging program. This provides a fully integrated platform that can be used remotely as well.
Just wanted to say here that I love this software and to reiterate that the virtual radios is absolutely the coolest thing. I don't have to worry about shutting down my logging software just because I am going to use digital modes. I talk the software up to anyone who will listen :D

The two VFO's should be labeled on the computer monitor. I see an update in the near future. The 'Moni" (monitor) will also adjust the level of internal sounds coming out of your speaker jack as well.

If you go to Tools --> Settings then click the 3rd Party SW/HW tab a screen is displayed that lets you assign up to six virtual serial ports for communicating with other software. This allows you to connect things like your logging software, digital mode software, and SDR panadatper software to the radio simultaneously. You can then just minimize Win4IcomSuite to get it off your computer screen and operate the radio from the front panel. Or if you like, use Win4IcomSuite to run the radio. Your choice. Of course you have to acquire the software that allows you to create virtual serial port pairs before you can assign them, but that's no big deal. Being able to connect mulitple software packages to the radio at the same time is very handy. And I agree with you about tuning the radio. Even if we use software to run the radio, we still want that round tuning knob. You can always pay the outrageous price Icom wants for their remote knob in case you want to place the radio out of the way somewhere, but so far I have resisted doing that. 73, Mike - WB4HUC
Dave, I’ve been using Win4Icom for several months and really like it. If you place your cursor over the digit you want to change in the frequency display, you can use the scroll feature on your mouse to change frequency in those increments. Also, one of the powerful things the software supports is multiple virtual COM ports so you can run your logging software, Fldigi, WSJT-X and more with the one USB interface. Maybe my favorite feature is using its remote server so I can sit on my couch with my notebook and run my 7300 on FT8 (or even voice).

My favorite feature of this program (obviously not within the scope of the viewers question) is that I can integrate all of my third party applications in conjunction with this program and com0com. makes running several different digital and logging programs at the same time much easier. 73 and look forward to the next video!! Great video (as usual). I have and use Win4Icom and think it's great. Well worth the $60 in the long run. (He also makes a win4yaesu that covers the ft991 and others.) I particularly like being able to use it to have multiple softwares talk to the radio at the same time so I can leave my logging software up while using digital modes. (I even made my own sloppy video about the software a while back after I bought it.) You can also have the waterfall show the output of an SDRPlay instead of data from the radio and get higher resolution. Lately I've been playing with a cheap 2m transverter, and you can tell the app the IF frequency of the transverter so that the program shows the 2m frequencies on the screen when you are using it (even though the radio is showing 28MHz).
Tuning to zero beat signal = use the mouse wheel instead of the slider on the screen...I am on test mode on this software and definitely will subscribe to use it. Thanks for your time on a great video. NN3RP / Rafael

Dave, I think you missed one important point. With only one com port assigned to the USB cable, trying to run wsjtx, logging software and jtalert, poses some issues. You can run each program separately, but not together (at least with the N3FJP software). This program lets you setup virtual com port pairs which all share the one physical port. I'm very impressed with this software in this respect, but I do find that having two monitors somewhat a necessity so that you can see everything at once. I think that the ICOM USB driver only generates one com port, not two as you mentioned. Best 73's de WD6FIE

Si usas el cluster en la ventana de cluster clublog, haces click en la estación que quieras sintonizar, y te lleva a la frecuencia exacta donde está operando. Y también como dice el amigo andres mummert, click en el dígito a mover, y usar la ruedecita del ratón. Por lo demás, va bastante bien y todos los controles funcionan correctamente. Ya en cuanto al manejo desde remoto, el servidor del pc quue uso en remote, aún no he conseguido que funcione correctamente y he de usar teamviewer para usarlo desde casa a la estación remota. Ese es un punto que no me ha gustado hasta ahora. 73.
Not sure which rig you are referring to. I believe the 7300 is similar to the 7610. I am using the 7610. To wit, the rig's main PC connection (USB#1 on the 7610, e.g.) carries not only C-IV rig control signals but also 2-way audio to/from the PC. To hear the radio on your speakers you set your audio INPUT (aka Mic) to be the radio's USB line (usually named "Microphone (USB Audio CODEC)". Assuming your "Speaker output" is set to your physical speakers, you'll hear the radio's output on your Speakers. To send PC audio TO the rig, you set the reverse path. That is, setting the Speakers to "Speakers (USB Audio CODEC)" But this create a bit of a conundrum. Since your speakers are then defined to be the radio's USB line, you won't hear anything from your physical speakers. A good but complex workaround is to install a virtual mixer like the free VoiceMeeter app (not a typo). But it's *very* confusing for non-audio techies. I'm a long time audio techie and had to scratch my bald head a LOT before getting the hang of it. With such a mixer, you define PC Speakers as an input and then forward that input to both the real Speakers and the Rig's USB input. Also note that such mixers chew up some extra CPU cycles to digitize, reroute and output the audio. There are 2 more advanced models of VoiceMeeter. "VoiceMeeter Banana" and "VoiceMeeter Potato" The key difference being the number of inputs & outputs. If you decide to experiment with it, I'd try the BASIC model first (simple "VoiceMeeter"). With the least I/O, It uses the least CPU cycles. I use Potato and find it definitely stresses my PC. Hope that helps rather than confuses. KT1TK

Tuning. Just lft click on a single digit in the VFO and spin the mouse wheel. eg click on the 100hz digit and travel 100hz per mouse wheel increment.

I have Win4Yaesu and do the same thing. Initially did feature didn't work when using Windows 10 on a Mac with Bootcamp, but works fine on a real PC.
Tom, VA2FSQ, the developer, is also very responsive and helpful, so the software is very well supported!
It also has built in club spots, which display call signs on the top part of the waterfall.

Hmmm...my install generated two ports for the Icom...I think. I could be wrong--I often am!
It’s been a while since I had a 7300, but on both a 7610 and a 9700 you definitely get two USB ports per radio.

i have icom seventy seventy six hundred. ihave not used in a long tie, but would work. now could this soft wear work on a chrome book ?

To get sound, that is purely a Windows function. Look in the control panel, recording and the Listen function.

Win4Icom is one time purchase and done. HRD keeps asking for money each year - recurring charge.
You will NOT get a screen anywhere as close as detailed . Win4Icom is far better than HRD for viewing signals .
