    I was willing to hear them out after "2 kids living in orange county" but the minute they mentioned "we gutted our apartment in Tribeca" I went straight to comments. Truly rich people sh*t! Beautiful work nonetheless.

      I get it! We're self-aware enough to know that we're extremely fortunate, but will say that we definitely didn't start out here. Hoping to share a bit more about ourselves with each subsequent episode, so hope you'll follow along! And thank you for the compliment 😊

    Stunning aesthetics, use of space and materials. Wabi Sabi came to mind, right off. like your use of 2x6"s in the wall...great for sound absorption. Can't wait to see what you do next. Glad you enjoyed Round Top, too.

    that's beautiful...I once asked my husband if I should change career and pursue interior design or architecture because I've been blessed spending months and months design our sweet home floor plan that I wondered if it wasn't for the precision of them tools, I wouldn't need an architect. Stay blessed and prosperous.

    Amazing work! Could you please share what professional training of interior design you’ve studied after you decided to change your career? I thought you need to have be a licensed interior designer to be able to have your own design firm?

    • @AgathusStudios
      @AgathusStudios  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is a great question! Jerry and I are big on self-learning, so we did tons of reading, research, and consuming relevant content on platforms like TH-cam. Most of our practical knowledge and expertise, however, stems from trial and error over years of designing and working on our own investment projects. I think this gives us a pretty unique perspective when working with clients since we have firsthand knowledge about the priorities and pain points of homeowners. And of course, we rely on and continue to learn from our network of experienced architects, contractors, and other designers. Fun fact -- California does not require an interior design license to be a professional interior designer (of course, there are other, more general, business licensing requirements).

    I see nice comments, but i also see alot of weird comments that scrutinize this couple. Although posting about their life makes them vulnerable to such scrutiny, it doesn't mean you should, keyboard warriors. You'll never know the entire story of their "success", even if it seems obvious that they had the fortunate conditions to build what they have. They still work hard and are extremely productive, making and presenting beautiful art

      Thanks for your comment! While many of our projects do have larger financial scopes, at the core of our design philosophy is the idea that people deserve to live in thoughtfully designed spaces. We believe there are many ways, both small and large, and regardless of budget, to enhance well-being through design - we invite you to check out some of our previous videos on Instagram (bit.ly/4gU0Dqr) and Tiktok (bit.ly/3XUvSsM) for examples!

    For me, there are two Cardinal Rules: 1) Every light on a dimmer switch. 2) No pot lights in the ceiling. An architect that uses pot lights is an architect that doesn't know how to control light... and then there is 3)...wishful thinking...No paint inside the house.

    Leaving 476k jobs is not brave or inspiring, when you have that much money. Inspiring is being a single mother and quitting your stable day job that pays the bills and xmas presents for your kids to follow your dream job as a freelancer. Or a crossing two oceans illegally to get to a country that doesn't want you just to get a job, any job. Check your privilige before coming to the internet promoting lifestyle nonsense in this cost of living crisis era.

      Disagree to the nth degree. You have not lived these people’s lives and you do not understand the complexity and risks these two have had to make. Do you know, whether they had hefty student loans? A life time of family and personal pressure to be high achieving? Discrimination at law firms because of their race? Difficulties to get into an ultra competitive and service oriented field? Managing the million details of hiring staff and making sure everyone’s pay checks are on time? Social media only show you the beautiful results but do not show you the struggle, fear, risks, conviction, struggle, failures, hard decisions someone have had to make to succeed in this story.

    • @miguelrosado6348
      @miguelrosado6348 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@joannabusinessaccount7293 No, I don't and neither do you. So everything you said has negative value because it's all speculation. If that was the truth, then maybe the videos should say something about it, and in that case I would definitely value their journey.

    • @joannabusinessaccount7293
      @joannabusinessaccount7293 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@miguelrosado6348You are entitled to value or not value the value of this video, and TH-cam should be a place where opinions can be expressed, and tolerated, agreed with or disagreed with. Why not try something you desperately want to do, that's almost too good to be true, that somehow doesn't seem 'fair' - and when you have succeeded, you can post it on TH-cam. And I can forecast that no matter how successful you have overcome the challenges, and no matter how gruesome your challenges have been, there will always be someone who thinks 'you've had it easy,' and your journey may not be of value to them as much as to, someone who has had it worst than you. Say, a child born without legs and hands - you had a life of privilege. But like I said, everyone is entitled to their opinions on what is worth of their time and appreciation, and this is one of the best things about TH-cam.

    To make money, you have to have money. No ordinary couple could pull this off. Sorry. I’m so tired of couples making banks telling the whole world how they leave their half a million a year job to pursue their dreams.

      This mindset is exactly why you’ll always be stuck. People go from homeless to millionaires all the time.. sometimes it doesn’t require money as much as it requires confidence and devotion. You don’t know these people’s story. Whether it is bullshit or not, stop living in the box of “ordinary”. If they can do it, you can too.
