I disagree. Mewtwo ex is close to the bottom of the top 5 decks. The deck often bricks if you can't get gardevoir going. Pikachu ex is much more consistent and reliable and easily the best deck in the meta currently.
This is a great take mewtwo takes way too long to set up to even be in the top 3. It's easily outpaced by pika, starmie, and articuno and without some luck (or meowth) gardevoir can sometimes take forever to set up.
I've beaten every single Pikachu deck I've faced, despite them having a godly start and me going first. The key is really to run 120HP Base Mewtwo since nothing can one shot him outside of lucky Zapdos... Not to mention this was a game where Kirlia would never show up for me.

I can understand that , but I’ve also got stuck with pikachu and could not consistently hit 60-90 and get wiped by mewtwo garde ramping up.
@SoSadSamPU I'm not implying that pika never bricks but it happens significantly less frequently than mewtwo.

@@roid.5050 tournaments are much different then going for emblem ladder
Most recent, huge tournament winner was a Mewtwo deck. That speaks volumes than whatever the win rate is from average people.
Yeah, I’m not sure what he meant by that comment lol. Mewtwo Garde is easily the most strongest deck.
