This video didn't even compare the fact that Area C is completely different in each version. Shatterhand has a submarine, in which you also get to aliens which are nowhere else to be seen in any of the games, while Solbrain has a circus, and they have different music.
Totally agree. The bosses are some way different designed in some areas.
Solbrain also has a more unique boss - the acrobatic female circus twins.
ShatterHand pretty much just reused the boss from Area B.
I guess that makes more sense than a regular bad dude punching a bunch of fully armored mecha opponents!
Played Shatterhand all the time when i was kid, and tested it not not so long ago, and its still a great game, Solbrain looks interesting.

@@thejman5683 Gavan's design inspired Robocop. Jiban is LITERALLY a toku Robocop, down to the prime directives.

PLayes Solbrain when I was a kid, playing Shattered hand now... I like Solbrain more, I think the twin circus bosses are more interesting then the 2 robots. I also find it more challenging.
I think i rather keep playing the japanese version.
Surprisingly, Saban ignored "Solbrain" and did not remake the original series for the continuation of "Shatterhand"😅
Japanese version has a tokusatsu superhero and the American version got a G.I.Joe / terminator hero.
Solbrain had a bootleg version which would get stuck on the 2nd stage the boss would just keep respawning

I watched a few episodes of Solbrain when I was a kid, it was a good show, but since NES was never really popular here in Brazil (Master System was the shit back in the day), we never really got a chance to play none of those versions.

Although Master system may indeed have been a bit more popular, NES was not so far behind. I was a Brazilian NES kid... never got into Master System or Megadrive.
Shatterhand is to this day one of my favorite games.
I've always been curious as to why Master System was popular in South America and Europe but not Japan/NA

@@andreasbernardi3654 Yeah, I'm sucker for 2D remasters. Still hoping they do it. Natsume did a re-release for Wild Guns and Ninja Warriors on the Switch though
@@dieseldust27 now there is Pocky and rocky reshrined too on switch. Hope they will remaster Shadow of the Ninja (Yami no shigotonin Kage), Mitsume ga toru (3 eyed one), Solbrain and Final Mission (S.C.A.T in US region and Action in New York (EU)). Natsume built great games and of course awesome soundtrack) someday.

i played solbrain i had the cartridge ,... its the same game , however shatterhand and solbrain have difference in just one level ....which is zombie level i guess for shatterhand and Park level for Solbrain ... in general i like solbrain more
Aca lo encontré!!!! Yo tengo el cartucho del Family game. Nada mas que tiene el nombre en el cartucho de robocop jajaja, nada que ver. Un juegazo de los mejores del Family.
Jeje, el cartucho que yo tuve en los 90s también decía dizque "Robocop 3", al jugar se daba uno cuenta que no era Robocop, al menos no la versión gringa ;-)

I play solbrain when I was kid in a friend house he had a famiclone sistem and multicart in the multiple games was metalstorm wow I never know through the years the real name of the game but I'm sure 100% Solbrain is way better 😎 finally I get my copy yesterday I'm so happy 😄👌

I could in the 2 versions, the only game I could ever finish was punch out Nes ...this game is very similar to Kage and Batman ... they are very similar in graphics and in the way of playing it ...

Both, one was for Western audience, the other eastern
toro ZONE - It’s obviously Solbrain which was a TV show in Japan. Shatterhand is the Westernized version of the game.

@@ripast2605 la versión japonesa es la original la versión Americana fue una adaptación hecha al propósito de hecho solbrain la versión japonesa ya tenía una serie que había comenzado años atrás antes q lanzarán el juego
@@SebastianFehrmannElixir Lo sé perfectamente aunque me enteré hace un par de años atrás de esto.
Jugué la versión japonesa y los escenarios que tenía eran demasiado planos (sobretodo el escenario del circo) entendí perfectamente porqué no fué incluído en la versión final.

Same great game in both cases, but Shatterhand has a cutscene where the MC responds to getting gunned down by punching an armored robot-looking motherfucker in the face. I'll take Shatterhand.
Неплохое сравнение. В японской версии есть уровень, которого нет в американской версии. Соответственно музыка и босс в этом уровне отличается. В японской версии это "парк развлечений" а в американской "подводная лодка".
Русский ромхакер под ником Ti сделах модхак , в котором есть уровень из японской и уровень с американской версии. Так, данный хак можно считать самой разширенной и полной версией. Называется Shatterhand Complete.
И еще, просьба к авторам канала - зделайте Final Mission vs S.C.A.T.
Там такаяже история, уровни отличаются в зависимости от версии в которую вы играете

Jugabamos hace 30 años atrás el Japan Version con mis amigos del barrio en mi casa, solamente yo tenía el Family Game, que tiempos aquellos eramos muy felices y no lo sabíamos, este juego me recordó que un día compramos una bolsa enorme de papas fritas y quien perdía una vida y el otro esperaba su turno iba comiendo jaj el joystick super engrasado pero aun asi luego de meses le pasamos la gran final esa que es un cohete.

Yes.. Shatterhand has a great intro but Solbrain has a sci-fi feel and relates to same TV series.
The transformation sequence in solbrain goes hard tho
