Biggest thing that keeps me from playing rn is the one death per map stuff. It's so anti-fun. Don't want to come from work and then have to be super focused or lose my maps AND 15% xp.
100% I do all the towers, alch my best waystones, fine the perfect map node, slot it in get super stoked, aaaand die to a lag spike within 5 seconds of entering. Map gone. This has happened more than once.
@@motherpigeon1582they could implement 1 death maps after the full game is released. right now the game is too buggy and unstable to warrant one death when random server lag spikes and bugged/overtuned mechanics and enemies
That's my thing. I'm not trying to waste hours on this. I'm doing the same as Allie, play other builds to get them ready for mapping by the next patch.
Breachstones now require 300 splinters so ggg can make them more graniular but said they would drop in bigger stacks to compensate... they still drop in stacks of 1.
@@inoperative once you got all the points, the mechanics are kinda balanced. I had the chance to do well and get levels so i did this a week ago. But it's very hard for 90% of players
@@Alliee Ellie, I have one problem with your build with a gas arrow. At the end of the game, when there are a huge number of mobs around you on the maps, I often die because I can't deal damage to the mobs that are standing right next to me. If at medium and long distances the gas explodes quite well, then when the mobs are standing right next to each other the damage doesn't go through, there is just a release of gas without an explosion. How can I solve this problem?
@@Alliee i just gathered 300 splinters but I go to check boss guide as my build isn't insta deleter and I don't want to lose 3 days of farming. They are too rare and prices reflect that.
Sad part is in poe 1 I get my curency from 50% farming, 25% trading, 25% crafting. In poe 2 i made my curency 80% trading, 10 % farming, 10% crafting.... This is not ok with the current economy i turned into a hideout warrior very fast...
Alot of people are making a ton of currency farming in the endgame, picking up raw currency and only selling high value items. Hideout warriors will always make more, but don't pretend you can't farm currency in PoE 2 because that's just wrong.
In poe 1 i get 90% my currency by trading and poe 2 i get 90% from farming, You simply don't know how to farm so you have to do HO warrior and think the game is boring xD
i farmed around 15 divs just doing lvl 80 ultimatum, since you get like a guaranteed 15-20 ex per run and can go WAY higher with the expensive core / fate
Trading always was a way to get massive amount of income, even in PoE1. The circumstances are different because PoE1 is a much much older game so trading is less active.
the part where they make you search the citadels and farming to progress atlas was a cool idea but the execution is bad, im at lvl 93 and didnt found a single citadel, and im not staying in the same area at all
My endgame is to create a new character lol. I find it funny that Last Epoch got trolled for lacking endgame content at launch when PoE2 more or less has worse endgame if we are being honest. At least Last Epoch has some goal and some cool interactions with targetable farms and stuff.
Another thing im having a big problem with now that unless you are extremely tanky or have insane dps events such as breach and ritual are near unplayable as you get absolutely swarmed. This can also happen during normal mapping where you can suddenly find youreself being swarmed by super fast mobs that rival even the fastest mobs in poe 1 in a game where you no longer have any movement skills and are generally much slower. Im sure all these issues will be solved at some point but ive reached the point where i no longer wish to play because of all these little and big issues and yes the 1 death per map seems fair if its only in maps but for something you need to farm to do like pinnacle bosses etc its just unacceptable.
I'm actually ok, with the one try per map / boss, but when you die, it should reset, not disappear, if i die against the arbiter, i get kicked out of the fight, but the portals remain and the boss hp is reset, the same with maps, in that way i'm getting punished by not addressing the tankiness of my build, but at the same time i can keep trying if i made a small mistake and not lose the investment of getting to a pinnacle boss or the juice of my maps
In PoE 1 they split the fragments for normal and uber bosses to avoid them being priced around uber drops, and to incentivize players learning the fights. In PoE 2, the single attempt per boss accentuates this issue to the extreme, especially at 3 divines per attempt, the average player will not risk it.
It really feels like the devs forgot lessons they learned during poe1. Remember how/why they removed the "is a maze" map modifier ? Only to have it on every campaign map now 😂
just dont bother playing the end game mapping. either wait until they release the full game months later or start a new class and play through the campaign. the game isn't there yet but its on a good foundation. there is also so many blatant placeholders in the UI and game that there's probably 50% of the game still missing
My biggest problem with the endgame is the actual Atlas. In particular how half the maps I'm doing are shit maps to clear areas and path towards towers or towards good maps. Also, the map layouts being random and not the maps I want to play is annoying the f**k out of me. I also really dislike the current state of farming. This might be solved in the future as they introduce more League mechanics. But currently there's not really any farming strategy. You just bumrush 3-5 towers in close proximity of eachother, put in tablets and try to do juiced maps with Ritual + Breach. The Scarab and map device + Kirac mod solution in PoE1 is just so much better and elegant than whatever the f**k we're doing in PoE2. Only reason I'm playing PoE2 endgame is because the novelty of it being new and the game being hype makes it fun. But I know for a fact that if a new PoE2 league was released and the atlas remained roughly the same, I wouldn't play that League.
this isnt just poe2 its also poe 1. T17 gating all the best endgame strategies and since its just mapping every non t17 strat is just a shittier version of it. The bosses are also locked behind t17. As well as the new scarab system making the "best" scarab for each farming strategy super rare and expensive. This could just be the direction GGG wants to go which is unfortunate. I play off meta builds and always stuck to essence harvest to be able to farm with non meta builds in case they dont stack up and thats been destroyed with no replacement in poe1
I think the whole "making it more new player friendly" thing they're throwing around is WILD when they've clearly made steps to do nothing but make the maps and endgame harder and more unforgiving than poe1, only getting 1 portal in a map if you die ??? How is that new player friendly at all compared to poe1 ??
Just let's be honest here though. We can complain about endgame because... there is actually one! And we know it's likely GGG will listen to some of the feedback unlike some other company, although it is important GGG stick to their vision. PoE2 endgame is the same as PoE1 pretty much. It's the starting line, the first version and it would have been stupid not to start from there really.
I’m farming T15s rn and kinda enjoying myself but a part of me is going “why am I doing this when a lot of this is probably just placeholder?”. I dunno, maybe I’ll play a few hours a day and they hope they do some big patch after New Years, but even then a lot of things are just too big to be addressed by something like that tho
i dont mind endgame being gated for the 1%, thats just aspirational content, but i hate how frustrating GGG edges those who try to enter it with a suboptimal build
Wrote a feedback in the forums some days ago about how I name it - "terrible mid game". Like you said and I mentioned in my post ,too, its a terrible game design to not let people spec in the league mechanic they want to play and are able to play. To give all the points for Breach, Delirium, Ritual only after beating the Bosses of these mechanics, after having to farm for a weak to get one try of something thats worth like 200ex+ and then get 2 points to start the tree, but only if you are overpowered and able to kill that boss/mechanic - its just dumb, sry. They should do it like you get the first 2 points after you completed 10x the mechanic in white maps, the next 2 points after 10x yellow and then 10x in red maps. That way we all would be able to spec 6 points out of 8 in thel mechanic we want to play and can play, and then the last 2 points we get after defeating the boss or sim. If I wanted to in POE1 I could specc into one ro two league mechanics completly after arround 100-120 maps played - no problem. In POE 2 a casual player will never be able to spec points into a league mechanic, and thats rly bad game design - IMHO !
I really like this. I like the design of the boss tree where you get 8/10 points for free and the last 2 come from the pinnacle, it incentivizes you to do the content without punishing you. Giving you 6/8 points in each of the trees with the last 2 being behind a difficult challenge sounds great honestly.
And this is exactly why everyone is also feeling the need to play MF builds. This problem in the video becomes so much less bad because you have such a large increase in currency coming in. Both things need to change imo
Yeah, I got 80% rarity on my gear and noticed a decent difference. Its kinda sad that you are forced to run MF and i cant imagine how 200% which isint too difficult to get close to feels even after the dr rarity goes though.
yeah idk what ggg was thinking reaching the real endgame in poe1 was already kinda hard if ur not a 2000h+ exp poe1 enjoyer playing some broken meta build. in poe1 u can complete like just all white maps, like everyone can do that and for that u get like idk 45-50 atlas points and u can specialize in somehing like idk essence or something and start farming essnce for profit EVEN if u didnt even compleated any jellow tier map, that gets even waaay better if u complete 1/2 or even all the jellow maps too. compare that to poe2 u complete ALL the quests for t1-t15 maps you get 30 points but that 30 points are only basicly some map drop/rarity/packsize stuff u cant really speciallize in anything .. for doing that u need to play like waaay more, like just getting TWO extra points on breach u have to do idk .. 30-50 maps with breaches ? and than not fail the breachstone to the boss, than not fail at the boss for two points.. its just way too much specially combined with this "pay 200-300ex just to try it once" mentality .. idk man it feels like they trying to force some ruthless lvl stuff on us. it feels like in poe2 there are like 10 different maps and like 8/10 have bad layouts and no boss its so boring. also just completing a map in poe2 takes like 2-3 the time of poe1 its just too much, its not fun, im not having fun mappin sadly.
Does anyone have any tips for early map progression? I've been in the endgame for nearly a week now, and even when upgrading the few waystones that drop at the tiers I need them (I also have all of the Atlas upgrades I can get for map drops/map tier upgrades), the map progression is completely unsustainable and I constantly have to restart from low tiers even without dying. I've gotten to tier 13 with no clearing issues yet right now I'm doing tier 2 maps because it's all the game will give me. At this point I don't even care about the "1 portal" problem because this alone is completely ruining the endgame experience for me.
Just buy maps for 1ex, put on 3 destilleds, add an alchemy orb, corrupt it and run it on a boss map. You get 5+ maps every time, since u most likely have 250%+ dropchance for waystones, with tower juice easily 300+
@ Is this sustainable though? I’m lucky if I get an exalt every 5 maps even with 50% rarity stat and I’m already burning currency by upgrading the maps I have. Idk if throwing more currency at it is going to fix the issue or burn it faster.
I am struggling to sustain maps. I just buy them on trade site, until can finally do rare t14-15 map. Havent try corrupted map yet and also t15 boss can give you atlas point for boss tree, which i think can improve loot drop because of the boss level get highrr and higher.
My problem with endgame is lack of maps. I was doing map tier6 and 7 but after dying a couple times and not getting any map drops for 4 blue and rare maps, I was left with 1 tier 2 map. Took me almost an hour of farming tier 2 and 3 maps to get a tier 4 map drop. This is where I am at now. They are effectively stopping my progression by denying me access to maps. As for the pinnacle bosses, it's not for me. Am not wasting days of farming for 1 attempt at a boss that will one shot you. I do not care to do pro gamer stuff, am just a casual gamer and my time is limited.
My issue with endgame is getting one shot too often and I don’t know where from. I can’t afford the divine orbs to upgrade my gear and don’t want to spend days grinding to get it, so rerolling to play campaign again until the market gets saturated and prices come down
The monk build im using was fairly cheap to put together. Nowhere near 1 divine and clearing t4s with no problem not even losing life. I certainly can't get upgrades though with how over inflated divine value has become. I can't get a single max link skill gem because of how absurdly expensive they are listed with hundreds of listing's. I havent seen a single divine drop and certainly can't afford upgrades when every slot is 2+ divine min from listing's i see
Well, the good thing is that it's early access and they're not really in the deep end of designing it. More like they smashed some concepts together to see how it holds up, get feedback and occupy players while they finish the main campaign. So gotta post and plaster that feedback on their forum.
I want scarab back. 300h playing, 2 divine ( dropped in campaign 2 times in like 10seconds between them in Ogham Farm, never seen one anymore. And people selling shit for 60 divs . RMT enjoyer I Guess.
1000% agree. As a new player who made it to t15 maps, everything seems unreachable except trial master (beat him multiple times yesterday), Zakorah, and map bosses. It sucks bc I’m the type of person who does all end game content in every game I play, but this game some of it feels unreachable
being new to poe2 because i was expecting it to be diff to poe1 dumb endgame type gameplay, the campaign is so much more enjoyable . i would hope they make 2 versions poe2 endgame gameplay , 1 cater to poe1 endgame player and another for new poe2 player that wanted slower pace non exagerated scaling darksoul like gameplay with friends
Same here. Allie's guide for the mana-stacking meteor build in LE is one of the best technical guides I've seen anywhere -- whether gaming or professionally.
Hi Allie, thanks for your content. About the last boss. I remember Sirus casting a meteor during the phase with circles. They fixed it. I think it's not hard for them to make conditions that if the boss casts spheres, he can't cast a beam at that time. And about one-shot builds, they can, like with Shaper, make the damage reduced before the boss's mechanic phase, and the phases during which he will be invulnerable, it will be more interesting.
what i dont understand is why the splinters back again into one/two stack drop(my wrist) and expedition dont have a locker and the worst offender is its not auto loot smh
Yeah, the current status of fragment drop rate, quantity needed to access pinnacle content and 1 death per map is really unbalanced. But long term that doesn't concern me that much since they can make the situation a lot better by just adjusting the drop rates. For me the biggest problem is the atlas system itself. Progressing aimlessly through a randomly generated atlas where most things are out of your control is not really engaging. I suspect player retention will plummet after people finish the regular progression quests. That problem is not that simple to solve, its not just a change in numbers, they have to think about ways they can give the players more agency in targeting their progression. The biggest example of this problem is the "citadel hunt", but it applies to other stuff too, like density of maps between towers, quantity of map bosses, instances of corruption and so forth. I really hope they come up with some supplementary systems to "mold" your atlas by launch. I know they don't want ppl spamming the same map over and over, fair enough, but the complete random stuff with no endpoints in sight we got right now is not the answer.
#Allie -- Thanks for your feedback. -- I'm amazed at how incredibly swamped the POE2 Reddit and GGG Forums are. Players are doing their best to inform GGG of the state of the game, and they rarely ever respond. -- I hope that they listen, since that seems to be all I can do: cross my fingers.
when you get atlas points + boss points thats where the farm is.. atm running mainly breach making like 40-80 splinters per map + 10+ ex/chaos/vaal/regal along with all the other drops.. you need to set up your atlas this time, not each map.. you need to plan it out
My opinion is scrap this endgame do away with the Roguelite and add a raid system where it's actually makes multiplayer worth playing, where you can revive your teammates with multiple attempts or a waypoint system like the campaign.
I agree. When I play games like Hades, Deadcells, or Curse of the Dead Gods. Death is always and naturally expected. Why? Because they're roguelike games. POE2 isn't. It's an ARPG. I don't get the decision behind this.
idk what it is with deli overall, some maps is just not posible to progress because of the layout so you end up getting 2 rewards max, and probably the cheapest ones, compared to expedition or breach, or even ritual where you can get some decent currency / items. but yes 100% most people wont be able to set up like 5-8 towers and run t16 or t15 with crazy mods, funny enough i been just farming some chaos trials for a solid 20+ ex per run which is most than any of the others mechanics in "normal" conditions, breach may come close if you get the points and juice/stack your maps, and you have the chance to drop the expensive core or fate for some dopamine or just farm the trialmaster for that shield didn't expect much when they said that they rushed to get something for late game and the game had me playing way too many hours last week for an EA game
Boy do i miss the 6 portals of PoE 1 lol. Those 6 portals have saved me on fights like The Feared and Maven Invitations when the whole arena was filled with Degens and boss AoE attacks lol
Idk, I like it like that. If I have an insane build and I have invested tens of divines to get all the points, I would very much like to be in 1%, making everything instantly available to everyone would simply devalue these trees, like it happens in poe1 week 1 after the league start.
I uninstalled it when I found out that there is an endgame XP penalty when dying. One less player. It could be configurable but they insist on this since POE1.
Is there anyway to avoid the arbiter of ash attack in the circle? The same thing happened to me and won’t attempt it again unless maybe I can bait the attack and dodge into the circle last second.
Nope. Its simply: kill the boss before he does it. A lot of people are frutrated by this right now and im 100% sure GGG will change this when they get back on jan 6th. Until then, im not going to bother with the fight myself
I agree, rewarding content that is given through the passives trees should be much more available during the mapping stages. With that being said I think there should be content that's only for the 1% to be able to reach. The only thing I'm worried about is the intention behind GGG making leagues 6months long, or rather how it would affect the game
Yeah, I dont mind aspirational content either, its what actually got me into making videos on poe in the first place. I take an issue when its forced down your throat for even the first 2 passive points on any of the league trees though.
I got burned playing the end game after beating all the boss. It felt really tedious for not much more fun. I have to agree that playing the campaign felt way more rewarding and fun.
Level 78, using level 40-60 gear. Nothing drops, and every time I find something in Trade, it costs Divine. Not 1 or 2 Divine, 20+. Gear is brutal and stopping progression.
pretty correct on everything. i am lv 90 - have 30/30 atlas and 0/x on all other trees. i can only substain with full waystone atlas tree and corrupting. I have found 0 Strongholds. I wish i could fight more bosses but they are way to rar. I can forget to even dream of killing any form of endboss. I dont want to read guides and i cant train it, even i f i wanted to
My biggest gripe currently with PoE2 (other than still experiencing crashes regularly), is that trading is a complete dumpster fire. Everyone is listing things for divines, even low lvl uniques with mid or even bad rolls, and most people don't seem to know the value of divines. I'm not big on SSF, so trading being so awful is kind of turning me off from playing the game... Unfortunately I don't have any other game I'd want to play right now so I mostly just play for a couple of hours a day and then log off and read a book/watch some TV series.
Endgame mapping is currently bricked unless you have 150%+ rarity, I've never felt this much impact in loot than getting rarity on my gear, they really need to get this fixed lol. Oh and also I spent 10 minutes in a single map simply picking up breach splinters due to one of the breach nodes giving you 10 breach in a single map, this feels like the game went backwards in having to pick up garbage off the floor.
100% agree and it's the reason I am not interested in continuing playing Poe 2 for now. The atlas passives and bosses are so inaccessible and it has just made me lose interest. The invitations are too rare and the one attempt at a boss thing is the dumbest design decision I have seen GGG make. Why would I risk trying to ritual boss and potentially losing over 500 exalts per attempt for my atlas points? That have made a system that locks so much of their content behind only people who have builds that can one shot bosses. The rest of us better farm bland maps with terrible layouts and watered down mechanics for a few exalts per map and that's it.
im actualy lvl 87 and farm T14-T15 Maps but what i have to say. It makes no fun. The Loot is terrible atm. If i take some towers to see what they do, the maps are so damn hard after using it. atm i run alch and go maps without towers to clear the atlas a little bit more and get some level ups but i think about doing a new Char because playing the Storyline and feel the progress of a new Char makes more fun then T15 Farming atm.
About the frontal with the ring that u gotta be in it, havent the done the fight but it seems the intended strat is for u to bait the frontal outside the inner ring and then dash into the ring when its baited. Is that a possible thing to do?
Sadly you cant bait it it seems. One attempt I was behind the boss and the boss just did both the circle and frontal in the complete opposite direction of me on top of eachother and a different attempt he just didnt do the circle as another mechanic was happening at the same time and he skipped it. Its really hard to test given you have... 1 life and it costs 3 div which is frustrating. The abilities seem to happen at the exact same time so its either bugged with the positioning, or the overlap shouldnt be happening.
Yeah, I'm just gonna reroll as a new character and play through the camping again. Been trying maps and got to Tier 4, but honestly? It's a fucking mess imo. I get what they're going for, and the foundation is there. But it definitely needs some work.
Where are you even getting divine orbs from? I have only ever seen divine orbs on trade sites. My build is strong enough to do tier 14 maps (not overly juiced) and im yet to drop my first divine orb
They are completly a random drop that cannot be farmed by any means other than "just kill more mobs." What everyone has been doing has been to try and fit as much of the rarity stat as they can on all of their gear as it sadly... increases currency drops.
Yeah... and sims are base T16 monster level not t7 like they are in PoE 1. Sure there is no + monster level mod but, even the first few waves are now harder. This is also with no deli points, with +4 to sim difficulty everything in here should have ~4x more hp and some increase to damage. Goodluck doing that on all but 1-2 builds designed for it.
problem will be fixed if u dont lose ur waystone when u die, instead u lose 1 of ur portals and every time u die u lose a portal to that room, also losing 3% exp instead of 10% at the same time can save the population in this game, honestly all of my friends dont want to play endgame cause when they die they lose too much exp. and they lose the waystones.
Sadly, I dont think you will be able to until filter support is added on the website to be able to import your filters into in-game. I have very little experience on poe console and im not sure if its something you can do yourself or if you ened filterblade once its updated
Im not sure, in poe 1 you could add filters to your account and they would be auto downloaded to your game and im sure in the future that will be avaliable for poe 2 as well. Im not sure if that worked with console but if it does, it would be the only real way to get filters on it.
Something to remember (and I agree btw that endgame is meh rn) is it's the last thing they started working on. I think Jonathan said they've only spent about 4-6 months on endgame so far. So let 'em cook. PoE1 endgame is a masterpiece. I'm sure this will be even betyat some point.
Yeah thats my hope too, I cant believe they will take the 15 years of making PoE 1 and just... int the endgame. It's why im not dooming about it but I wanted to voice my current concerns out in public with the basic systems we have now.
Uhm, idk if you are ware of this but maps in poe1 can only drop the same lvl as the one you’re running, 1 level below and 1 level above, I’ve seen hundreds of tier 5 maps dropping in tier 16s in poe2 and it took me 80 hours of end game to even start getting consistent tier 15s and able to sustain them
This isint true, you could get lower tier maps in poe 1 as well. Every season I specifically hide all non t16 maps a few days in because it gets annoying to see them drop.
@@motherpigeon1582 actually Johnathan had stated that one of the biggest choices coming up would be if they integrate the new graphics into poe 1... its def coming
I have 0 clue what you are talking about, i'm a new poe2 enjoyer and I have not reached the endgame yet, but this all sounds confusing, and honestly, scary as hell.
Is it normal to have that little amount of HP for end game content? I feel like I just hit the endgame and I have more energy shield than Allie has HP (I'm an Invoker monk so I know the ascendancy has a very powerful defensive node).
She’s a different class the archer has the main mechanic of dodge vs health like without looking at stats she probably has 85% dodge rate so almost nothing hits her.
@ is dodge different from evasion? I have around 65% evasion and 60% Armour in comparison. I read there’s diminishing returns on evasion so keep it around 55-65. I still think GGG needs to something about that final boss though.
I have a 100+ life roll on all my gear execpt 1 ring, ~2.2k-2.4k hp is the best youll be able to ever do on Gas Arrow. Im an evasion build with a 75% chance to not get hit by any ability in the game that isint a ground degen or a dot. I really love having no hp nodes on the tree so all rangers max out at around this hp value.
@alexcompositionflat If it's like PoE 1 then Dodge and Evasion are different. Dodge is strictly RNG while Evasion isn't. Evasion used an entropy system where u got hit based on the the monsters accuracy minus ur Evasion (basically if u had 1000 Evasion and the monsters accuracy was 100 u would get hit every 10 attacks).
If the layouts of end game weren’t 80% sh*t everything would feel a lot nicer. Most of these layouts suckkkkkk and then slow to backtrack if you miss a single rare.
The 1 Portal is killing the Game....I will make my build until new year and the quilt all together...I have given this game so many chances and it fails so horribly at mechanic and implementation...Its a fun concept but i will return to POE 1.
The maps themselves are so unfun. Some of them I kill the boss in 2 minutes and others I have to open 3 door levers (that I take damage from zone effects like fire while the animation takes forever) amd kill 6 bosses.
preaaaach! i have a deadeye 90 lvl and 83 level storemweaver, blastin t15, but havent even reached any pinacle boss. Its abosuletly dog water, our current endgame. I would rather have all 66 acts in and just be testin new characters.
I didnt mention this but... this too. I personally have seen 12 citadels so far while others have seen 0-5 and others have seen as many as I have. There is even a streamer playing 10+ hrs a day who got to maps day 1 who doesnt have even 1 citadel yet. It seems like peopels Atlas seeds are bugged.
@@Alliee this is messed up. no search function in maps no citadels for some while some have seen 20+ citadels. No way to compete in this messed up economy tbh.
Rarity suck. The end game devolves into PoE 1 very quickly accept we have way less tools. The killing the bosses to get points also terrible. There are also no “labor” type farms to allow people to focus farm something to sell to pull themselves up in the economy. Like PoE 1 has essences (that are useful), expedition (also actually useful) and many other things that can allow you to slowly build up currency. That doesn’t exist here.
Thanks (Got 40/40 in Settlers). Will play the first three Acts and then put the game down. And then either play Cyberpunk or Baldurs Gate 3. Have not played them yet.
Never forget this is Early Access, they are literally testing things and some are a hit some aren't. The first 3 acts are great and It's clear they prioritized the Campaign over Endgame/maps. They will keep working on it and improving things, I have no doubt that when release day comes the Endgame will be as refined and robust as PoE1 or decently close, just gotta give them time.
I’m running~ T13 maps, and juicing them as much as I can:… and I still don’t get shit. Nothing from Ritual, nothing from expedition. I still haven’t seen a single Raw divine orb drop. And I’m perma farming around T13. I don’t have the time or privelege to get to the point ur even talking about! Simulacrum? Is a pipe dream for me rite now. At least in POE1 the atlas tree was fully fleshed out and fully accessible just by doing maps. This system is terrible.
you know, if y'all just, stopped playing the game regardless of how many issues it has, maybe GGG would stop releasing half finished and extremely buggy things
Imo rarity is a big problem. It divives the whole players base and fucks the other half. If you dont have rarity your fucked, but its goodly expensive to have both rarity and damage. RIP 90% of players not being able to get any loot
"Have to over gear it so much" This is even for the Acts for some builds. I had to over level Trial of Chaos by 30 levels and 6x DPS to beat it with my melee Monk (NOT cookie cutter build). Then my next character (Infernalist) did it AT level first time with the same skill. GGG has some MASSIVE work to be done. The game is a MESS.
If they just changed THIS to let say... 3 portals, it would be SO much more reasonable. At first I was up for 1 portal period but now, pinnacle content feels like shit with it. I like how brutal it is, and I want it to kinda stay brutal but, I HATE it being brutal when they lock all Endgame juicing behind it. It should be optional brutal content not mandatory brutal content.
Biggest thing that keeps me from playing rn is the one death per map stuff. It's so anti-fun. Don't want to come from work and then have to be super focused or lose my maps AND 15% xp.
Yup this is got to be the most frustrating aspect of mapping. You can lose all the exp you gained from your last map.
1 death per map is the worst. There will always Be random deaths or lag spikes. And bam your map and time on top of the exp is gone
100% I do all the towers, alch my best waystones, fine the perfect map node, slot it in get super stoked, aaaand die to a lag spike within 5 seconds of entering. Map gone. This has happened more than once.
Disagree 6 portal builds were cancer and only showed that someone has no idea what they were doing.
@@motherpigeon1582they could implement 1 death maps after the full game is released. right now the game is too buggy and unstable to warrant one death when random server lag spikes and bugged/overtuned mechanics and enemies
1 Death per any Endgame Content you are doing is Nuts. Please respect our time!
Especially if playing with friends. There is literally no benefit to playing together as it doesnt progress anything, other than drops.
I so agree with you, right now is just a waist of time to push because if you die, lose all progress
That's my thing. I'm not trying to waste hours on this. I'm doing the same as Allie, play other builds to get them ready for mapping by the next patch.
100% agree, endgame is borked : amount of splinters to enter atlas points, portal should be tied to difficulty, citadels too rare, towers too boring
Breachstones now require 300 splinters so ggg can make them more graniular but said they would drop in bigger stacks to compensate... they still drop in stacks of 1.
@@Alliee Until you get the passive points which doubles it to stacks of 2! Amazing :)
The circumstances are different because PoE1 is a much much older game so trading is less active.
i am new to poe, i made it through all the acts and now i am at the endgame but i have to say, i actually enjoy doing the campaign more^^
I’m in exactly the same boat. The campaign has such clear progression… the ‘complete X maps at X tier’ thing just seems a bit hollow
yea campaign was cool, end game is terrible
the part where they make you search the citadels and farming to progress atlas was a cool idea but the execution is bad, im at lvl 93 and didnt found a single citadel, and im not staying in the same area at all
My endgame is to create a new character lol. I find it funny that Last Epoch got trolled for lacking endgame content at launch when PoE2 more or less has worse endgame if we are being honest. At least Last Epoch has some goal and some cool interactions with targetable farms and stuff.
I actually enjoyed last epoch a lot for its skill variations and endgame wasn't bad. I may give it another shot as I haven't played in like a year
Except that POE2 didn’t launch yet
Only to have it on every campaign map now 😂
why they removed that mod btw?
@@ElSabio159because it was bad, do you lack brain cells
just dont bother playing the end game mapping. either wait until they release the full game months later or start a new class and play through the campaign. the game isn't there yet but its on a good foundation. there is also so many blatant placeholders in the UI and game that there's probably 50% of the game still missing
I'm one of those people who are stuck at 4/10 map boss skill points. I've dont both t17 and t18 map bosses and got no points for them.
this isnt just poe2 its also poe 1. I play off meta builds and always stuck to essence harvest to be able to farm with non meta builds in case they dont stack up and thats been destroyed with no replacement in poe1
t17s really feel like they ruined things
4:45 - Wasn't paying attention and thought Allie was going to show her face. lol
I havent seen a single divine drop and certainly can't afford upgrades when every slot is 2+ divine min from listing's i see
Wow, Now I wonder if I should just stop doing mapping and start a new character or play something else...
RMT enjoyer I Guess.
thank you for giving me an idea what I'm working towards. I've never played POE before. I want depth and complexity, but I still VALUE MY TIME.
Hey just wanted you to know I started watching you during the Last Epoch phase, thank you for your content!!!
I chose option 3: Buy a carry. I hate doing it, but I am not wasting half a day of farming to a single bs death.
Well, currently GGG is on holiday break. I do expect a big response on Jan 6th when they get back into the office.
when you get atlas points + boss points thats where the farm is.. atm running mainly breach making like 40-80 splinters per map + 10+ ex/chaos/vaal/regal along with all the other drops.. you need to set up your atlas this time, not each map.. you need to plan it out
went through a similar experience and was like yeah, now's a good time to level a new character/build.
My opinion is scrap this endgame do away with the Roguelite and add a raid system where it's actually makes multiplayer worth playing, where you can revive your teammates with multiple attempts or a waypoint system like the campaign.
They should give us portals back for maps/bosses, I really hate this “one try only” thing they did.
I agree. When I play games like Hades, Deadcells, or Curse of the Dead Gods. Death is always and naturally expected. Why? Because they're roguelike games.
POE2 isn't. It's an ARPG. I don't get the decision behind this.
idk what it is with deli overall, some maps is just not posible to progress because of the layout so you end up getting 2 rewards max, and probably the cheapest ones, compared to expedition or breach, or even ritual where you can get some decent currency / items.
but yes 100% most people wont be able to set up like 5-8 towers and run t16 or t15 with crazy mods, funny enough i been just farming some chaos trials for a solid 20+ ex per run which is most than any of the others mechanics in "normal" conditions, breach may come close if you get the points and juice/stack your maps, and you have the chance to drop the expensive core or fate for some dopamine or just farm the trialmaster for that shield
didn't expect much when they said that they rushed to get something for late game and the game had me playing way too many hours last week for an EA game
Boy do i miss the 6 portals of PoE 1 lol. Those 6 portals have saved me on fights like The Feared and Maven Invitations when the whole arena was filled with Degens and boss AoE attacks lol
I'm so glad you made this, I was so frustrated at the game but I couldn't pin what is wrong with it. I really hope they fix it in some way.
Based take
The good news is it’s all relatively easy to fix. There’s no way endgame launches like this.
Idk, I like it like that. If I have an insane build and I have invested tens of divines to get all the points, I would very much like to be in 1%, making everything instantly available to everyone would simply devalue these trees, like it happens in poe1 week 1 after the league start.
Are breach and delirium splinters gated by map level? I’ve done a handful of each already and I haven’t seen a single drop.
I didn’t start dropping until tier 9 or 10.
It seems like it yes. I did every breach and deli mirror as I rpogressed and saw basically nothing until I was close to T15
Gear is brutal and stopping progression.
great write up - ty Allie!
pretty correct on everything. i am lv 90 - have 30/30 atlas and 0/x on all other trees. i can only substain with full waystone atlas tree and corrupting. I have found 0 Strongholds. I wish i could fight more bosses but they are way to rar. I can forget to even dream of killing any form of endboss. I dont want to read guides and i cant train it, even i f i wanted to
as someone who was researching as to if I want to buy the game or not, I did not understand 95% of the video but I realize it is just time to wait 😭
It's $40.... the campaign gameplay is well worth that alone.
Yeah... I reaaaaly hate for Rarity feels forced on everyone right now to make any money. They somehow managed to make MF mandatory
THIS VIDEO NEEDS MORE ATTENTION
Absolutely true. Endgame was the blessing of PoE, now it has become its curse.
Mapping takes too long
They should reduce map completion quest from 10 to 5
it is reduced later on. im at 6 right now and doing tier 11
6 to t15
@@Alliee I see, I will assume that was the intended strat but they ended up messing the coding and made the timing of it impossible.
allie! are u doing simulacram in this vid or is this delirium modified waystone?
That was a Sim and it was the first few waves of it until I got bodyblocked and killed
Having 1 life in a SIMULACRUM is so crazy 😭
Yeah... and sims are base T16 monster level not t7 like they are in PoE 1.
Does anyone know how to change the way your drops look on console,? My exalted and stuff are jsut gray?? They don’t ever have a color to them??
Sadly, I dont think you will be able to until filter support is added on the website to be able to import your filters into in-game. I have very little experience on poe console and im not sure if its something you can do yourself or if you ened filterblade once its updated
I wonder if you can download loot filter on pc then enable it on console?
Im not sure, in poe 1 you could add filters to your account and they would be auto downloaded to your game and im sure in the future that will be avaliable for poe 2 as well. Im not sure if that worked with console but if it does, it would be the only real way to get filters on it.
IF you just pressed ESC button before you die and go to Character screen you save your map and your portals and EXP!!! Problems solved!
Every season I specifically hide all non t16 maps a few days in because it gets annoying to see them drop.
honestly harder poe 1 with poe 2 graphics would be a really good game.
pretty sure we'll see the updated engine next league
@@elevatedstatus4419 Certainly we never will.
@@motherpigeon1582 actually Johnathan had stated that one of the biggest choices coming up would be if they integrate the new graphics into poe 1... its def coming
@@elevatedstatus4419 It is not updated engine but shaders so def not coming.
Damn… 1000% yo!
They Deff need to make the sink of currency diff and not too overdone
The 1 Portal is killing the Game....I will make my build until new year and the quilt all together...I have given this game so many chances and it fails so horribly at mechanic and implementation...Its a fun concept but i will return to POE 1.
The maps themselves are so unfun. Some of them I kill the boss in 2 minutes and others I have to open 3 door levers (that I take damage from zone effects like fire while the animation takes forever) amd kill 6 bosses.
I'm doing mapping now and I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I'm probably not even in the "True" endgame LOL.
preaaaach! i have a deadeye 90 lvl and 83 level storemweaver, blastin t15, but havent even reached any pinacle boss. Its abosuletly dog water, our current endgame. I would rather have all 66 acts in and just be testin new characters.
Was about to buy the early access, I'll hold on till they fix this lol
94 have seen no citadels. i am feeling my atlas is bugged
91 never seen one of them, too.
On my level 92, level 85, level 70, level 75 characters, I have yet to find a single one.
The 1 portal thing needs to change
All facts. Now i dont have to make a video on it. Good work.
Inhumane gaming: when a dev purposefully develop their stuff to make it hard for humans.
They're trying to turn us into robots haha
Thanks (Got 40/40 in Settlers).
Will play the first three Acts and then put the game down. And then either play Cyberpunk or Baldurs Gate 3. Have not played them yet.
Account lock since day one ! Nice, very nice game !
Yep, I really am not enjoying being forced to run MF now
9 divine orbs is a days worth? maybe if you're top 1%.
I've had a single divine in my entire 150 hours xd
im pretty sure atm plenty gamers are buying currency through RMT cuz of how bad it is atm...
Really miss my map-stash!
Yeah the 1 portal pr map is the worst change.
Meanwhile i make like 20-30 exalts per day of farming t14/t15s :D people speaking of multiple divines per day
Quit after reaching lvl 91. Don’t waste your time after finishing the story. Its so repetitive and not worth your time.
