    I really don't see how a felt beater will wear away at the mesh MORE than a solid plastic beater.....

    • @dawidskorkiewicz2584
      @dawidskorkiewicz2584 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The felt beater will have more grip on the mesh therefore more friction, as friction produces heat it will start wearing away the mesh surface, whereas the plastic beater will have greater resistance and a lesser grip on the mesh which will produce less friction against the mesh causing less wear on the mesh

    Not a drummer at all, so excuse the lay question, but could you route the midi signals into a DAW, running Superior Drummer for example and benefit from the superb sample quality and dynamics?

    • @patriciooc
      @patriciooc 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Judging by some specifications I found it HAS MIDI in/out, so yes, you can record the MIDI signals in your DAW and edit and route to any Drum software you have....

      I have the TT22M and I plugged it into my iMac and it worked in EZDrummer literally immediately with no problems.

    I've only been drumming for a few months and I really want to start practicing at home.
    I'm looking to buying an E.kit... I'm still on the fence if I want to go for a little more pricey (roland, alesis command/surge kit) or something a little cheaper (like the TourTech). The thing I'm certain of is that I'm going to use Superior Drummer 3 to trigger better sounding drum samples. I'm assuming TourTech and Superior Drummer 3 aren't mapped out for each other, so that I have to map everything manually. My question is though; is it better to go cheap and save some cash or get something nice?

      Hi n0ls, yes you can map it out with Superior drummer. TourTech are amazing value and have great feel, but get the right tool for your needs!

    Compared to alesis kits, I thought that these sounded good. Snare maybe a bit bassy?

    yo i have a problem... I tried putting the hihat pedal as a bass pedal but when I hit the pedal it stops the hihat sound... Does anyone have the same problem?

    The yamaha dtxplorer for 499 was sooooooo much better and that was 10-15 years ago.

  • @NikolaiKa
    @NikolaiKa 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    They are avoiding using hi-hat. Never once I heard they do the pedal clap. Around 11:01 he finally (once!) tried a triplet or some bouncing hi-hat pattern and hi-hat did not register the weak hit. See how they extensively demonstrate mesh heads and cymbals and avoiding hi hat? That tells me the hi-hat is the weakest part in this otherwise capable cheap kit.

      @@waydox4005 either yamaha or roland. Alesis sounds like garbage and has cheap low quality cymbals.

    You could hear the brain getting confused even during that basic opening beat - and thats the problem with cheap electronic kits. The trigger heads are cheap to make - old technology - the brain is expensive and causes the trouble. Youre better off buying an acoustic kit and some practice pads IMHO

    Top Tip for your production guys. When presenters are "talking to camera" please make sure they are looking into the camera lens. Not doing so looks terible and is bad practice. Unfortunately, to many people are using this technique now. It is a lazy way of production.
