- Here's a general overview of how my friend and I made my Moana Costume in less than 24 hours! I focused on sculpting the necklaces while my friend Pompay measured me and helped sew the base pattern for my top. We only had ONE DAY to make this, (including Maui's costume, which will be another video later).. and I'm glad we were able to pull this off haha.
For the necklace, the materials I used were thermoplastics like Worbla, black worbla, wonderflex, and transpa art, which can be bought here:

For fabrics, I generally buy them at a local fabric depot or fabricland, for the paints I bought at Michael's or walmart. :)

I'm going as Te Fiti for Halloween, and my brother will be Te Ka (he likes electronics and plans to make the costume light up). I wanted to dress as Moana but it's too cold in October where I live :-P
I kinda look like her. . . I have thinner eyebrows and slightly less curly hair tho, but roughly same body shape, similar nose and eyes and same skin, hair and eye colour.

Although I liked how it was made, we don't get to see exactly how it was all done...everything fast in a fast mode video, that not all of the work was shown. The top only shows the painting aspects, I wanted to see how she cut the fabric especially on the bottom of that top, you can see the fabric has a lot of frays...what did she do to stop the frays when she had to cut the loop pattern?? All in all, I still liked the way she designed her Moana costume. :)
