‘You know, I’m an anti-monarchist’ the way I CACKLED 😂
A hutch feels like the piece of furniture you buy when you’re officially an adult. I can’t wait until I can buy one!
This was so much fun to watch! I'm glad you enjoyed the book. 😄 It truly deserves all the praise it's getting it. I mean *the* GRR Martin blurbed it and did an event with Cassie.
Just a little info - the last syllable of 'Castellane' is pronounced like Lane from Gilmore Girls. 😉
i blew through this book so quick, i loved it. i went to her signing and she said the series is 4 books (as of now) and the next one (the ragpicker king) won't come out until early 2025 😭
Omg 2025 🥲🫠
Literally watched a different video and immediately clicked on the notification - the day has been saved!
I didn’t know this was going to be a series!!! I’m even more excited to buy it!
I recently finished Sword Catcher, myself, and I flew through it! So good! I am sensing the possibilities of a love triangle (Cassandra Clare does like that trope), which is either gonna work, or be annoying. I like that the world is diverse and inclusive, though any hint at romance has been mostly heteronormative (except for Merren). Overall though, I loved it. And agree: that ending!
Your house is sooo cute and seems super warm and cozy
I’m currently reading this! Thank you for another wonderful and cozy vlog! 🤗
I get so excited when you upload a reading vlog, something about it is just so cozy to me. I always watch them while eating my breakfast, a lovely start of my day :)
Your vlogs are my favorite thing right now!! They’re so cozy 🧡🧡
just received my illumicrate edition of Sword Catcher an I'm so excited! I love the Shadowhunter world and Cassandra Clare's writing, so I'm quite curious how this will turn out since it's a different fantasy world
Just finished it and I RUN to watch this. I gave it 4 stars I liked it a lot, I loved Conor and Lin dynamic. i wished to see more of Kel and Lin working together
I just got my illumicrate edition yesterday, so this reading vlog is perfectly timed!! I'm really glad you liked it. i took a bit of a risk ordering the special edition cause it was $$$, but I felt like i might regret if i didn't haha. It's suuuuch a pretty book. I hope I enjoy it as much as you did!
I have one more audiobook to finish before getting to start that one. So excited!
Gonna start this book today and I’m excited 🥰
was distracted by your beautiful house 😭 the cabinets!!! your room and the like rock wall (? i’m not an interior designer) !!!! the fall vibes !!
Your vlogs give me lyfeeee
I love your casserole dish 😅
The soup look sooo good
Hey Regan! I love your channel so much! Your recs really got me back into reading during COVID ❤ Thank you so much! If you ever wanted to make a video about best slow burn/character focused fantasy or romance books I would flip!! Really hard to find good romance ! Thanks for the great video, so excited to read Sword Catcher eek!!
The Others series by Anne Bishop is a slow burn very good series I flew through. If you love them she wrote an off shoot series too, which I also love
Great vlog as always, I would love to know which nail polish do you use, I love that autumn orange colour!
I love cozy earth it’s such a game changer
I just finished this book and immediately rushed to your page to find if you had reviewed it. I loved it so much! I’ve tried to go back and read the Shadowhunter series as an adult, and it doesn’t hit as good now that I’m older. I felt like Sword Catcher was exactly what I needed!!
I just wanted to say I used your code on a Cozy Earth order, so thank you! And try the bamboo rib knit joggers, they're the best! :D
My copy comes in the mail today! 😁
I really want to read this one soon! I almost grabbed a copy at my barnes and noble last week but I noticed all the copies had the map on the inside cover printed upside down. So I’m waiting to see if they get different copies next week.
I think I’m going to pause Fall of Ruin and Wrath to read this book. You reminded how much I miss the slower relationship pacing of Clare’s writing. Her buildup always made me love and invest in the characters more. I’m struggling to connect to the main character and relationships in Armentrout’s book thus far.
Kickasserole! Love it 😂
I felt this way when my fave author Christine Feehan came out with two books in the murder mystery because she normally writes paranormal romance.
I love Kel!!!!!!!
I need to get a copy of sword catcher 😤
U have convince me to read sword cather,so i shall😊
Aww look at your pug!
Awesome vlog‼️💯 I have only read the mortal instruments and book 1 of the dark artifices series: Lady Midnight and I need to get this book‼️💯
I've been going back and forth on whether I should buy this or not, and since I trust your recommendations, I am now convinced and checking out! First, I love political fantasy. It's top tier. Second, I love a well-paced book that takes its sweet time honing on every aspect of the world. Third, I prefer tension in the romances. This sounds like everything I want in a book! Thanks for the detailed reading vlog!!
I love Matilda’s bean bag! Does she get on it by herself?!
24:30 idk what Matilda was doing but it looked like she was eating a hob of corn 😂😂 I've not read one CC book ever but this sounds super interesting ❤ also i always love your vlogs cus your house is soooo nice
Where’s the first top you’re wearing from? The striped one with the buttons! I love it ❤
yes cutting butternut squash is so hard!!! i made butternut squash soup last night too and it was so unevenly cut HAHA
ITS SO HARD
Frozen squash. Game changer for me.
Any tips for reading fast? I finish maybe 2 books in one month, but I want to finish 2 in a weekend like you!
Finished yesterday
Need a link for that casserole dish!😂
I just saw on Goodreads that book 2 is called The Ragpicker King?! ahhh YES! Am I the only one who is scared of not knowing how many books this series is going to be?
Hi Regan! Love your vlogs 💕 I was wondering about your journey with the One Piece anime, are you guys still watching it ? (Though I do believe the manga is a better and faster experience and you can read it digitally).
If anyone has any tips about cutting squash I would love to hear it. I find cutting squash extremely dangerous as well 😅
I’m sure you’ve mentioned this before but how fast do you read? Page per minute.
Are you going to do reading vlog for wrath by jhon gwynne ?
It’s giving Darker Shade of Magic.
RIGHT! I was only thinking of Kell
Is it me or does this sound a lot like VE Swab's (spelling?) Darker Shade of magic with the character dynamics
It’s super different imo
Kel? Lmao what an original fantasy name…. The synopsis sounds interesting though, so I am intrigued.
I wasn’t aware this was marketed as adult fantasy rather than YA. But it sounds like the characters are all quite young, so how is that working? I find these days that “adult” fantasy is often just written like YA but with sex thrown in and it’s my biggest pet peeve in books. So, curious what your thoughts are on that!
It’s def adult fantasy - everyone is mid twenties or older.
I also don’t think age is the only factor between YA/adult (tho important) but also writing style and complexity!
📚❤️
I am struggling with this book bec I am getting so distracted by many of her terms coming from the Hebrew language eg: “malbushim”, “maharam (a Hebrew acronym for a rabbi)” and the maharam’s name is literal “David Ben Azar” which means David son of Azar. The magic system is called “gematri” like the Hebrew numerical system Gematria. One of their medical books is called “Sefer refuot” which literally means BOOK OF CURES/remedies. Obviously there is nothing wrong with her using these terms, I’m just getting too distracted that I’m having a hard time becoming immersed in the story. I know her shadow hunter stories involved some hebrew (“Nephillim” means the fallen) but I feel like it was way less… idk I guess I’ll see how it goes lol
Will not be reading Cassandra claire new book I just can't stand her writing anymore after dnfing the last shadow hunter series
The fact that her name is above the book title and in a larger font size really irritates me. I don’t know why but it rubs my brain the wrong way 😅.
I agree, very narcissistic
I've seen once that when the author is well known, publishers do this to attract the eye of the readers in a bookshop, because they know that we may never heard about the book but just because is because of author X or Y people are more likely to buy it.
@@surpriseitsus9622pretty sure its not the author m’s choice ;)
They do that with a lot of male writers- look next time you go to the bookstore.
@@christyannie83 I’m not going to intentionally look to find something I don’t like. Whether or not it’s common practice with male authors or any other authors doesn’t really make a difference.
Honestly I’m now kinda regretting buying this book…I’m getting a Babel feeling and man that’s my least favourite book of the year
Mine too. I hope this isn't like Babel. The only book I dnf'ed
Seems like a whole lot going on and I didn’t understand any of it. I think I’ll skip it!
Hahahah fair!
I don’t get these reading videos. Why would we want to know the whole plot of the book like this? 😅
The shade of green you chose for the cabinets didnt end up being as nice as it looked as a swatch. Probably too saturated and not...grown up enough? I dunno something like that
no one asked
I love that green and used it in my bathroom for cabinets with cozy cream wall paint. It's my favorite
@@finreadsawesome comment 😊
That's your opinion, I'm pretty sure she really likes it. And that's what matters since it's her house.
