For centuries people have tried to describe fishing with pen and paper. But some smart,
and most creative people like you, have turned it into reality and made it really interesting

The buzzing sound is the wind hitting your lines. Happens all the time!

Nice trip. We got out mid November but the wind picked up like crazy mid day and we had to cut our trip short. Boys and I were soaked on our boat ride back to Fenwick. Pulled my boat but hope to get out one more time before it gets too cold. I’ll use the west OC public ramp to put in.

Yea the wind has been hit or miss for sure. I haven’t been able to plan a trip cause it has been so crazy. Good luck if ya get out!!

I love those super light rods. I use a 7’6 untra light for inshore. Especially when your on some smaller quality fish. You really get to feel the fish fight and dig and it gives them more of a chance 😉

Yes sir. They are great fun. I have used all sorts of rods and combos in my videos over the years but this rod might be one of my favorite jigging rods. I just ordered a pink one😜

Great video. I just fished that spot last month and had some success as well. I'm new to your channel. Loved when you foul hooked the one in the belly, same thing happened to me in my multi species video I posted. Keep up the video man, there enjoyable to watch!

Thx Yak! We snag quite a few. With sensitive gear you feel them hit and get them late or early quite often. Especially when the bite is finicky. Will have to go check out your multi species vid!!

$160 on Amazon! I clicked your link. It may be awesome jigging for Rockfish.

Awesome video! Can you fish them areas without a Trolling Motor by anchoring? Thanks for sharing.

Hey Dtrain! Sure can. The trolling motor just makes it easier most of the time. But there are instances it can move ya around meaning swing around if the current is swirling or wind is whipping. But I hate anchoring and trying to get right over the structure with any sort of current. So the trolling motor it is for us!!

    No nets! Hahah

Well one net. That big one was no joke and with their teeth. Never know how well they are hooked. But to honest can’t remember the last one that came unbuttoned. Could probably jerk them all in!!

Angler, what’s up! Yeah I caught a couple fish on the tsunami slim wave in this vid also. Love that rod as well.

Where is the best place to catch them from shore in OC

I would recommend the end of the rocks at stinky beach but it’s private prop so tread lightly or the jetty on the boardwalk side. Stick in the rocks right, take tons of rigs and weights. Tog fishing is best vertical jigged for sure but you can catch em up from sure with patience.
