That dome radiates heat from the bottom up during the summer! Update 09/0424: just did it this holiday weekend and it was brutal-heat caused me to stop several times.
The last time I went to Enchanted Rock I took one of my sons, and though it was raining and we couldn't go on the summit trail, we still went all around the loop and had a good time!

Me and my bride walked up to the summit several years ago.The view from the top was breath takingly awesome

I didn't have time to do the loop trail on this visit, but I hear the views of the rock are amazing
