Comair are a British airways Franchise airline that operate in South Africa, Mauritius, Namibia, Zambia & Zimbabwe
Comair operating as British Airways Boeing 737
Seeing a short haul British Airways Boeing 737 in South Africa can at first trick your eyes.
British airways have not operated the Boeing 737 since 2015, so seeing one painted as a BA aircraft now is fun to see.
Comair operate flights in South Africa branded as British Airways and fly to 11 Destinations and have just under 30 aircraft.
They also fly to Mauritius, Namibia, Zambia & Zimbabwe.
The flight was just fine, a bit more interesting than a standard flight around Europe as a snack and free drinks are also included in your ticket price.
If you are a one world Sapphire or Emerald card holder you can also use the lounge for free in port Elizabeth when flying Comair.

When flying from Port Elizabeth to Jo'burg, the plane would often first fly towards the bay, Algoa Bay, and then across it, and then back over the land above the vicinity of Sundays River mouth. It's the same with vice versa.

Lots of people don't realize how pleasant flying was before 2001 (9/11, specifically). Seats were much roomier, cell phones were rare, and for domestic flights, you could literally show up 20-30 minutes before the flight. Great report, James. Back to silent movie mode.. ;)

Nice video, nice old bird. Lounge food looked very good. Pizza, not so much.
I was pretty impressed by the lounge food, but that pizza was not good at all.
Nice video James! I also flew this on this flight in Januari, but on the 737-800. I didn't have pizza though, but a beef sandwich which I didn't eat. There were quite some empty seats on my flight.
Yeah i remember you flying on them, at least you got the newer plane, still though the food was not good at all.

When I Travel The World it sure is James but kinda brings big memory's of the BA 737's here in the UK

Comair is great, business class is fantastic with them! It is funny to think that ZS-OAR was with Qantas just over 20 years ago.
I will need to try them again in business. Thanks for the comment about it being a Qantas jet, I had not checked.

Such a pity that Comair, along with British Airways operated by Comair, Kulula and Mango aren't anymore. Only Safair is left, out of those.

It sure has been a bit quiet from your side lately. Anyway nice report, was always curious what Comair had to offer. Always nice flying a classic 737 as the are becoming quite rare nowadays. Don’t really get why airlines try pizza’s in the air, that looked gross! Did you fill in the survey for them?

Your seat area on the plane was quite dirty. The fabric was ripped and there was gunk/crud caked up in the cracks of the IFE. Yikes!
Yep, the plane was pretty old.
