    I live in Marlinton. Love fishing and canoeing on the Greenbrier River. Blessed to get to live here

      The upper Greenbrier is our favorite section! It is unfortunate that you have to hit that section just at the right time of year for runnable levels. Of all the rivers paddled, this one is in our top five for sure!

    My favorite place here in West Virginia. Born and raised in mason county. Love taking summer trips to the river

    What a relaxing and well-produced video! I hiked on the Greenbrier River Trail between Cloverlick and Marlinton WV. The river and surrounding terrain are absolutely beautiful! Makes me want to get a kayak! Great original music score!

    That was so very nice....I was born in Marlinton in 1944. Went back most every summer to visit my grandmom. Many a day was spent tubing on the Greenbrier. Loved your vodeo.

    Great video. Was considering the Greenbrier for some time now. Absolutely going to do it. Were the camping sites designated sites or you just randomly found them?

    • @AVAJourneys
      @AVAJourneys  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We just selected them. There are several opportunities for hammocks. Especially on the upper portion.

    Do you mind sharing launch point and where you took out?

    • @AVAJourneys
      @AVAJourneys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sir! We put in at a campground located in Durban and took out just past the bridge in Marlinton, near the Greebrier Grill. We used a private shuttle service to transport our vehicle.

      @@AVAJourneys Do you remember about how many hours it took you guys to paddle from Durban to Cass?

    • @AVAJourneys
      @AVAJourneys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jacobcastle2741 hmmm...that was quite a while ago, and also subjective to pace and paddle style. I would suggest measuring the distance between the points and comparing it to average cfs. Sometimes, we may push our pace, depending on conditions. So, again, it's really subjective. We've paddled nearly 40 miles within a day on some trips.

  • @parkerfortune8313

    Is there a shuttle service?

    • @AVAJourneys
      @AVAJourneys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are a couple official ones I believe. We actually had some contacts that ported our vehicle for us.

    can you do without added music ? or is that a TH-cam requirement, seems it is...so do two one with natural and one with...anyway thumbs up to mute

    • @AVAJourneys
      @AVAJourneys  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the input. We did this one with our narrations, and a basic original score.
      A lot of people won’t make it through one without music.
      We will consider the options in the future.
      Appreciate your patronage!
