Amazing to see this, as only ever watched the goal. Started going to matches as a youngster the following season. Gutted to never see Brady play live for The Arsenal.
the italians reaction w 15 mins to go and only 1 goal down, said everything about their lack of spirit or attacking confidence. Only in Italy is 1 goal considered to be 3.
Juventus in a truly difficult season culminating in second place behind Inter tournament winner; Trapattoni was too defensive against a great team that played good attacking football; just think that in the first leg he showed up with Gentile nr 10 and this explains everything, at the time Italian football post Argentina '78 was going through a period of black crisis. A curiosity: a few months later Liam Brady will be bought by Juventus playing 2 wonderful years in Turin culminating with 2 consecutive national titles, at the end of the 1981/82 championship and the second year of the contract (he had signed for 3 years) he will be "unloaded" in favor of Platini. Good serious and polite person Liam👍
I use to have clothes shop in Bermondsey and Paul’s mum and brother use to come in and buy clothes for him he was in rehab in Southampton got himself clean then relapsed ended up in a dingy room in Bristol with a needle 💉 hanging out of his arm and that took his life so sad !! Rest in peace Paul vaessen 👍
Great upload, only ever see just the goal! great to watch more than that, great result and that by the gunners as after the first leg the 1.1 at Highbury most thought that's it but again arsenal proved us all wrong.
@@Tomgood1984 thought it was Valencia ? When they had Mario Kempes the Argentinian 🇦🇷 1978 World Cup winner in their side? Arsenal lost 5-4 on penalties
@@paulkillick527 It was Valencia. That was a bad week, that one, 2 cup final defeats in 5 days. Then to add insult to injury, we sold Liam Brady to Juventus in the summer.
RIP
Paul 🙏
He would be 60 today

arsenal first english team to win there.
To this day we're the only club in English Football History to have beaten Juventus in Turin
apart from united last season - but this victory was the first of its kind, same for us at the san siro, bernabeau and dortmund's signal iduna park
@@ViceCityDJ true

Ha strameritato il passaggio la juve troppo difensiva sia all andata che al ritorno
