I’m super excited to continue to hear more music from twice so I hope you guys enjoy this with me! 💕 I will be of course taking things at my own pace but I’m working on being more consistent with uploads of my groups. my personal opinion about the lyric videos: being a Twice fan who watches lyric videos all the time, I find them extremely helpful so I can keep track of who's singing because it could be tricky sometimes. in terms of the errors, I highly don't think it's NOT 99% wrong all the time. a lot of lyric videos do a great job determining the voices, especially with creators like random_k who produces high quality lyric videos. I also really love hearing your insights about the lyrics on the spot as you hear them so it's a shame we don't get to see them here anymore. I hope you find a solution for that. Twice has a lot of songs with amazong lyrical content especially since they write a lot of them. A solution would be to use spotify lyrics if they have them
Yeah I understand that. I’m just tired of people complaining about using them in the comment section. It happens every time I use them lol and I also do think I enjoyed reviewing the album this way without them. I was able to really enjoy the songs and catch some vocals and production that I would have probably missed otherwise. I’m not gonna be able to please everyone and at the end of the day I have to do what feels right for me but if I find a solution that works for me and you guys then I would be happy to do it.

I think I'm just gonna miss your iconic reactions to for example: Momo and Chaeyoung going back to back rapping in Basics, your reaction there wouldn't be possible without the lyric video showing which members were singing/rapping. It's just those little moments like that have made me love your channel it would be a shame not to see those moments 😅

56:02 yes momo was eliminated at the 6th episode but in the last episode JYP added her to the group because she was unanimously voted as the most hard working and the best dancer by all the staff, he also said that she had something that the other members didn’t have and needed (he was talking about her dancing and stage presence). also tzuyu made it to the last episode but wasn’t selected in the final 7-member lineup. JYP added her because she was the most popular member and also because she showed the most improvement during the show
crazy stupid love is SO good! dahyun literally never disappoints with her pen (you should check her writing credits, she has written more than 15 songs for twice and they’re all some of my favorites) (also chaeyoung and jihyo have A LOT of writing credits too. all of them have written some songs but you saw that in the guide)
I have to say Caitlin, your decision to start Twice's albuns reviews with the very first one took me (and maybe many others) by surprise, that was a very brave decision! The contrast with Ready to Be will be interesting to watch (I'm not there yet) and for me, as a once, the most beautiful thing about Twice is their growth in these 8 years: they started as a cute gg and now they're powerfull women that grew up in the industry and are ready to be themselves. I'm excited to see your opinion on very famous and respected albuns like Taste of Love and Formula of Love, and I think your decision to start away from them will only help. I really like your reactions, I feel that you really feel the music. And the fact that you respect your own process and is very sincere, makes things way more interesting to watch you reacting to Twice, that is my favorite group. I know that a really big flaw of the Once fandom is this enourmous desire for everyone to like Twice that becomes invasive and overbearing so I really want to thank you for holding youself down to it without droping your interest on Twice. I do hope that, in the end, you stand them in your own way!
I honestly don't think cute twice started with the story begins. The cheer up album was really the true beginning of cute twice because the story begins is a lot more experimental
@@asareirenetrue. Cheer Up hit it big and all their stuff followed afterwards. Initially JYP planned them for bubblegum pop, which is more fun and energetic, not necessarily cute.
I'm just making this comment to appreciate Caitlin. She shares a lot of videos in a very short time. Just shooting the videos shows that she spent her time here, but I think the more challenging part is the editing. Respect
Great Reaction as always. In terms of the turn to a more mature sound, I think the concensus among Once is Yes or Yes era, because especially "Fancy" kinda started them down their path to a more mature sound.

To me personally, I feel like Twice hasn’t really changed their sound as much as people seem to think. Like you can always tell when a Twice song is playing because everything about just screams Twice and that’s even true today. Like Set Me Free and Talk That Talk (as two songs people seemed to not like) sound like Twice songs just like TT and Cheer Up song like Twice songs. Twice has just matured naturally music wise (especially title track wise) but they still sound like Twice, like they don’t sound and look like a completely different group even with their recent concept changes.

Was a fun time listening to you experience these 2 albums. They have such a large discography that I definitely think taking your time, not feeling obligated to like everything and enjoying the songs that you end up clicking with is a great way to go about this. Also, starting from the beginning will let you see how their sound develops.
most important thing about twice music is just experiencing it! its ok if some songs arent up your alley. theyve got a wide array of songs which would cater for everyone, just pick and choose! happy listening!!!!
As one guide suggested, if you listen to TWICE's discography, the earlier eras is them looking for and finding LOVE. then FALLING in LOVE.... the most recent albums and tracks is them finding themselves, loving themselves more and also falling out of LOVE.

Honestly, TWICE IS MY ULTIMATE FAVES. But I watch your channel because i think you’re really funny and interesting. I hope you never have to feel that you HAVE to like Twice too just because a lot of people do. If by the end of your journey you feel like like just being a casual listener of them then that’s totally fine. You do you and enjoy the journey wherever it takes you! Going Crazy is deffo my all time fave TWICE song (Merry & Happy/precious love/Fancy/TT would be next) and I gotta say, Jihyo's voice was HEAVENLY in Going Crazy, sweet like candy ❤ and I feel that Truth had an ET/spaceship/outer space/intergalactic sound (if u know what I mean) and it really takes me back to the time where it was trendy in kpop, like the early 2010s. I would love to see this sort of concept done again!
Like a fool remains still one of my all time favourite TWICE tracks its so amazing! So glad to see you enjoying their roots like this, Twice tends to get pigeon-holed as nothing more than super cute but they really do have so much diversity in their music

Honestly THIS is the best way to do it! A true journey through the albums and not just the title tracks. You’re definitely going to see the growth and once you hit the Feel Special and Fancy You albums…you’re gonna in. That’s what happened with me. I can’t wait to follow along!
They have almost 200 unique songs in their catalog. You have your work cut out for you! Formula of Love is probably their most acclaimed and requested album. It's my personal favorite and IMO the best album released in 2021/22 by anyone.
Be honest with your thoughts, it’s normal to not like all songs. As a TWICE stan for years, they have songs that are not my cup if tea. One thing I like about them is that they have a wide discography, you’ll always find a song in each album that will fit your taste

Twice is so underrated, I feel like people (especially reactors) are always put off by their image as the cutesy bubblegummy girlgroup and even though in the beginning they were kinda that, in my opinion they were way more than, their lyrics had substance and the albums were cohesive. I also feel like they’ve grown so much since, like musically, lyrically, artistically and personally, idk they’re just that girl group for me. They genuinely love what they do, you can’t sense it in their music and they love their fans and are always so grateful, and lastly they love each other, like their relationship is so pure and wholesome. For that reason they will always be my ults.

if it helps, a lot of their discography is repackages ! quite a few of their korean albums (the year of yes, summer nights) as well as many of their japanese albums just being jp versions of kr title tracks ! a lot of their earlier japanese stuff also tends to be a bit samey, only really deviating from that bubblegum pop sound with breakthrough, so dont feel too pressured to go through all their japanese stuff on camera since they probably have on of the most extensive japanese discographies ive seen from a kpop group 😭 i would recommend breakthrough, bdz and better though if you ever want to check out some jp title tracks from them ! so glad youre sinking your teeth into some twice stuff at your own pace :)
Hey Caitlin! , I just want to begin with saying thank you thank you !!! for spending your time and effort in making these reaction's for us to enjoy. I say that because I think I can safely say that everyone who's watching loves nothing more then to watch you feel the joy we get when listening to these amazing girls, although not all songs are everyone's cup of tea and that's totally cool because the majority of their songs are just good I mean play on repeat good. Your in store for a lot more each album has a certain vibe but all in all they still somehow keep that magic that just boosts your serotonin levels and brings all sorts of emotions out mainly happiness, sounds hella corny typing this out but its true. To be honest Twice is very special they work super hard to make their fans happy , they are all super humble and each have personalities that are golden , they get along so well like a bunch of siblings , they have grown to be family and it shows they are not just idols to us "Onces" they are much more. me and a couple of my friends went to a twice concert in june of 2023 and i can say that Got The Thrills was everything!!! Im so happy i got to see my ult group live
I love Twice but there's some songs I don't listen to because I don't like them You don't have to like all of their songs, you can say that you don't like a song that much :)
I see Twice I click, I've been a fan ever since the beginning and I quite literally grew up with them since we're the same age and It makes me emotional seeing how It reflects on their sound cause the sound is still Twice but It shifted over the years due to them growing up🤍

Yup I will. My reluctance isn’t because someone disagrees with me about my opinion. I’ve had healthy conversations with people in the comment section that don’t agree with me, but I’ve encountered very nasty and aggressive comments about my opinions that I’ve often had to either turn comments off or not upload a reaction because I’m being honest and not hyping their favorite song or artist. I’m not the only reactor that has to deal with it and we talk about it all the time. some people get really nasty if we’re not hyping everything up and it’s sad cause the one thing that people accuse us of is being “fake” yet when we’re honest we’re also being “fake” so there’s a double standard. I’ll continue to be honest about my feelings like I’ve always had but It’s understandable if I feel anxious or reluctant sometimes because of the unnecessary backlash.
I think Momo's rap in do it again is her best rap and best rap in their entire discography. She's a very underrated rapper and I will die on this hill. Momo best rapper!!❤🔥

Honestly, TWICE never has any bad ENGLISH release or versions. And the fact that none of them are fluent english speakers make all of this all the more impressive
got the thrills WAS amazing live. My favorite non choreographed song I've ever seen live by any Kpop group tbh. Got the thrills and wallflower were actually my favs lmao. But the last chorus of got the thrills was MAGICAL!! You will love the formula of love album a lot!! their best album to date and everyone loves at least half the songs off of it. Eyes wide open was pretty good too but the discog isn't as good as formula of love.

so i started stanning twice during page two, cheerup era and having only two mini albums released, i remember how i complained for the lack of songs. i used to have this album (the story begins) and page two on repeat every single day because i was addicted to twice very much. today, relistening to these made me realize how my twice has matured so much in so many ways and so have i. it was like a journey of twice and i although it feels like yesterday when i clicked on my recommendation for cheer up. there are so many i's (onces) today and i'm beyond proud how far we've come.
Love that 'Like a Fool' and 'Crazy Stupid Love' started with a guitar, both were actually my favorites from the albums they came from. Both features being sort of dumb in love. Both album closers. Beginning album and their most recent, almost 8 years apart. 😂
The lyric videos on youtube are very inaccurate at times too (both translations and they couldn't get who is singing correctly either). Genius, most of the time, uploads english translations too. I think you can use them as reference. But you are right, I don't think they cover everything or everyone. But anw, using Spotify adds to their streams officially too so yes.

You're right! "Got The Thrills" was so good live. They did it for the Korea leg of their current tour (rtb). I wished they added it to all, but they need to rest their voices too hahaha. "Blame It On Me" is written yet again by DAHYUN hahahahah. You love her songs so muchhhh. I get you! Wallflower was my favorite on first listen because it was my vibe. But now, my fave fave is Crazy Stupid Love. "Crazy Stupid Love" is written yet again by DAHYUN. The lyrics for this song si freaking good for me. It's such an anthem!!!!!

I loooove love love when people react to Twice’s discography!! Their stuff is so so so good and their sound is so diverse, so checking out peoples reactions is very fun. Also it’s so cool how you put this out on their anniversary; I had this feeling that someone was gonna put out a reaction vid on that day not knowing how special it was, and I’m excited that my intuition was right!!! They have such a large discography that I definitely think taking your time, not feeling obligated to like everything and enjoying the songs that you end up clicking with is a great way to go about this. Also, starting from the beginning will let you see how their sound develops.

As one guide suggested, if you listen to TWICE's discography, the earlier eras is them looking for and finding LOVE. then FALLING in LOVE.... the most recent albums and tracks is them finding themselves, loving themselves more and also falling out of LOVE.

Honestly, TWICE IS MY ULTIMATE FAVES. But I watch your channel because i think you’re really funny and interesting. I hope you never have to feel that you HAVE to like Twice too just because a lot of people do. If by the end of your journey you feel like like just being a casual listener of them then that’s totally fine. You do you and enjoy the journey wherever it takes you! I hope i can speak for many ONCES out there and tell you that you can be as frank as you want to be because we know how diverse their sound is so we also know that you wont vibe to all of it! To me what i hope for more is that you get to know the girls, their names and their quirky personalities that hopefully you get to love that side of them outside of their music because they are so much more than what their sizeable discography defines them as. ❤ That’s it! Going Crazy is deffo my all time fave TWICE song (Merry & Happy/precious love/Fancy/TT would be next) and I gotta say, Jihyo's voice was HEAVENLY in Going Crazy, sweet like candy ❤ and I feel that Truth had an ET/spaceship/outer space/intergalactic sound (if u know what I mean) and it really takes me back to the time where it was trendy in kpop, like the early 2010s. I would love to see this sort of concept done again!

Like a fool remains still one of my all time favourite TWICE tracks its so amazing! So glad to see you enjoying their roots like this, Twice tends to get pigeon-holed as nothing more than super cute but they really do have so much diversity in their music
Also I appreciate you giving our Twice a chance and starting from the beginning even if you don’t like some songs that’s ok not everybody vibes with the early stuff but the fact that your even watching it I appreciate it cuz now you can really see their growth into the mature women that they are now
Honestly THIS is the best way to do it! A true journey through the albums and not just the title tracks. You’re definitely going to see the growth and once you hit the Feel Special and Fancy You albums…you’re gonna in. That’s what happened with me. I can’t wait to follow along!

They have almost 200 unique songs in their catalog. You have your work cut out for you! Formula of Love is probably their most acclaimed and requested album. It's my personal favorite and IMO the best album released in 2021/22 by anyone.
Be honest with your thoughts, it’s normal to not like all songs. As a TWICE stan for years, they have songs that are not my cup if tea.
One thing I like about them is that they have a wide discography, you’ll always find a song in each album that will fit your taste

Twice is so underrated, I feel like people (especially reactors) are always put off by their image as the cutesy bubblegummy girlgroup and even though in the beginning they were kinda that, in my opinion they were way more than, their lyrics had substance and the albums were cohesive. I also feel like they’ve grown so much since, like musically, lyrically, artistically and personally, idk they’re just that girl group for me. They genuinely love what they do, you can’t sense it in their music and they love their fans and are always so grateful, and lastly they love each other, like their relationship is so pure and wholesome. For that reason they will always be my ults.

if it helps, a lot of their discography is repackages ! quite a few of their korean albums (the year of yes, summer nights) as well as many of their japanese albums just being jp versions of kr title tracks ! a lot of their earlier japanese stuff also tends to be a bit samey, only really deviating from that bubblegum pop sound with breakthrough, so dont feel too pressured to go through all their japanese stuff on camera since they probably have on of the most extensive japanese discographies ive seen from a kpop group 😭 i would recommend breakthrough, bdz and better though if you ever want to check out some jp title tracks from them ! so glad youre sinking your teeth into some twice stuff at your own pace :)

Hey Caitlin! , I just want to begin with saying thank you thank you !!! for spending your time and effort in making these reaction's for us to enjoy. I say that because I think I can safely say that everyone who's watching loves nothing more then to watch you feel the joy we get when listening to these amazing girls, although not all songs are everyone's cup of tea and that's totally cool because the majority of their songs are just good I mean play on repeat good. Your in store for a lot more each album has a certain vibe but all in all they still somehow keep that magic that just boosts your serotonin levels and brings all sorts of emotions out mainly happiness, sounds hella corny typing this out but its true. To be honest Twice is very special they work super hard to make their fans happy , they are all super humble and each have personalities that are golden , they get along so well like a bunch of siblings , they have grown to be family and it shows they are not just idols to us "Onces" they are much more. Alright I'm rambling but can't wait for you to get to know them as we do. Thank you again

Yup I will. My reluctance isn’t because someone disagrees with me about my opinion. I’ve had healthy conversations with people in the comment section that don’t agree with me, but I’ve encountered very nasty and aggressive comments about my opinions that I’ve often had to either turn comments off or not upload a reaction because I’m being honest and not hyping their favorite song or artist.
I’m not the only reactor that has to deal with it and we talk about it all the time. some people get really nasty if we’re not hyping everything up and it’s sad cause the one thing that people accuse us of is being “fake” yet when we’re honest we’re also being “fake” so there’s a double standard.
I’ll continue to be honest about my feelings like I’ve always had but It’s understandable if I feel anxious or reluctant sometimes because of the unnecessary backlash.

got the thrills WAS amazing live. My favorite non choreographed song I've ever seen live by any Kpop group tbh. Got the thrills and wallflower were actually my favs lmao. But the last chorus of got the thrills was MAGICAL!! You will love the formula of love album a lot!! their best album to date and everyone loves at least half the songs off of it. Eyes wide open was pretty good too but the discog isn't as good as formula of love.

so i started stanning twice during page two, cheerup era and having only two mini albums released, i remember how i complained for the lack of songs. i used to have this album (the story begins) and page two on repeat every single day because i was addicted to twice very much. today, relistening to these made me realize how my twice has matured so much in so many ways and so have i. it was like a journey of twice and i although it feels like yesterday when i clicked on my recommendation for cheer up. there are so many i's (onces) today and i'm beyond proud how far we've come.
Love that 'Like a Fool' and 'Crazy Stupid Love' started with a guitar, both were actually my favorites from the albums they came from. Both features being sort of dumb in love. Both album closers. Beginning album and their most recent, almost 8 years apart. 😂
The lyric videos on youtube are very inaccurate at times too (both translations and they couldn't get who is singing correctly either). Genius, most of the time, uploads english translations too. I think you can use them as reference. But you are right, I don't think they cover everything or everyone. But anw, using Spotify adds to their streams officially too so yes.

You're right! "Got The Thrills" was so good live. They did it for the Korea leg of their current tour (rtb). I wished they added it to all, but they need to rest their voices too hahaha.
