Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, June 7, 2018 - Ai Kurogo sparked Japan’s epic comeback to beat Thailand in front of their home crowd 3-2 (19-25, 20-25, 25-17, 25-19, 22-20) at the inaugural women's FIVB Volleyball Nations League on Thursday night.
Japan captain Nana Iwasaka said: “It was a big audience today. It was a very tough match, but we didn’t give up until the end and that gave us a lot of confidence. We’re all glad that we won here. We have a lot of Thai fans as well who supported us and helped us win today. We want to keep this energy flowing and take this to Poland to finish our last week.”
Japan coach Kumi Nakada said: “Today, both teams played really well. I think we brought out each others' good side. It was a really close match that could’ve gone either way. We still have a lot of room for improvement and we’re going to prepare for our next week in Poland. We will try to stick together, keep playing together, and just look for a better result.”
Thailand setter Pornpun Guedpard said: “It was a really good match. We played very well in the first two sets and everyone fought really hard. We have to accept that Japan are also such a strong team. Credits to them for coming back to beat us. This match was really a close game and both teams could have won the match. We had many good rallies. This is true volleyball.”
Thailand coach Danai Sriwacharamaytakul: “First of all, congratulations to Japan for the comeback win. I think we did our best in this match. Thank you to the Thai fans who cheered for us. This game depended on rhythm. In the third and fourth sets, Japan served very very well, so we couldn’t play our own game. They also played aggressive counter-attacks. In the fifth set, it was such an exciting and entertaining game for the audiences, but we committed more mistakes in the crucial points. That’s why we lost.”

as someone who has never watched haikyuu and has played volleyball for 6 years, i can assure you that no. we don’t have dramatic flashbacks during crazy plays.

haikyuu really made me interested in volleyball..i wanna try it out too but sadly theres no volleyball club in my school and i dont have any friends who are into volley ball either:(
hinata was sorta the same you know! don’t give up because of small barriers. For my first year of practicing volleyball, there were no teams and I had no friends who liked volleyball. So I started practicing with a bouncy ball in my bedroom and in my driveway. This year I joined a house league team and made my school team. This summer, I try for high level. Anything is possible so please keep trying!

As a vball player a good places to find volleyball places are mostly Facebook or insta but on insta is not that great but try
@@ameliedutra7488 wow that’s almost the same like me, since 2020 I’ve played volleyball in my room and backyard and this year there’s a coach teaching volleyball in a public sport center so now I finally get to actually play and learn volleyball🥳🥳 and the best part is that I got teammates that love volleyball as much as I do!💕
Asian volleyball is really something more than just a simple volleyball game. It shows war on the court between teams, no one wants to leave the court without the win.

I love it when I see professionals make service errors because it makes me feel a little better when I make them. Like I'm just reminded that even the pros make mistakes sometimes.
They make frequent service mistakes, because every service must be full risk at this level. A safe service will immediately be exploited, and the point will be lost anyway.

I like how the spectators are chanting during the stall moments and before the serve, but never after the whistle goes off. As if they want to boost the athletes but not let them lose their focus
Yes, they know that the players need to communicate, which would be impossible with 20,000 screaming fans.
Every time a pro player misses a serve I hear my high school coach in my head saying you can never miss a serve I-
Yeah, at high school level, you should not. But this is the pinnacle of volleyball, you must take risks serving, or you will be set up and slaughtered.

I remember watching this game years ago, best match I ever saw. Nobody looses when Thailand, and Japan play the game, it is always a fantastic game, my fave is Thailand, but my second is for sure Japan
man, it really sucks to play after 25 or 15 and end up losing. I’ve had games go to 29-31 before, but nonetheless it’s more playing time so it’s worth it to put up a fight

None of the action is over exaggerated in my opinion but I'm pretty sure there aren't 2 minute flashbacks in the middle of a game lol
