aight, tips time!! - i would say that angelic cross is just slightly better than pure cross, the damage it does is WAY better than pure cross, but the angels' accuracy is that of a stormtrooper. angelic cross is good for damage, pure cross for practically infinite range. - as seen in the announcements, unfortunately summoner will be getting replaced by a new class in due time. we dont know when, but its inevitable that all summons will eventually get replaced, or turn into companions like polly. - in terms of crafting items, alt path is the definite choice. alt path weapons deal much more damage than its main path counterparts up until tier 4 (seraph/eldritch), so you should invest more time on them while also hoping for rare main path biomes like the angelic biome you got. - aether curse only appears in alt path dungeons (helio vasilias, research base, and starfall canyon), where no main path (light and dark) items are allowed throughout the whole dungeon. some event items bypass this restriction. - special steak is amazing for the main parts of research base, as it can speed through the enemies and deal great damage. its kind of weak at the boss however. recommended items to get: - irradium photon saber: this sword is really good, and can be upgraded even further and become extremely powerful against bosses. - the caliburn: probably the most overpowered weapon in the game, despite being a PRE-HARDMODE WEAPON. this weapon can be found in the caverns or beneath, and only one can spawn every server. its strong, however it can take a while to get, as the caliburn only spawns in a time period of around 16 minutes to 2 AND A HALF HOURS. its also rank scaled. - parrot cracker: polly despite being the weakest companion, can really pack a punch once your rank is high enough. its damage is pretty decent and its ultimate can help with a large group of enemies. only downside is really its health. - consumermite spice: lykofos is definitely the most tanky out of all the companions, and can help at times very well. its ability to slightly lifesteal and heal both you and itself can help in need of regenerating your health back, and its beam and now deal really great damage. only problem is... it is unlocked by the interdimensional traveling merchant, which is unlocked by sparing the boss "Rain", and only has a 1/14000 chance of spawning every tick! others i already mentioned previously: - astral armour - aurium blade - irradium railgun - special steak

Or you could beat the summer event, which is way faster and gives almost the same loot.
Void watcher relic has more Range and damage but angelic cross has more DPS so I don't really agree with this Void watcher relic is complete trash if you don't have bait like Cybil or something
ancient totem has 3 abilities actually, the Z gives healing as seen, the X gives a aura which damaged enemies and sets them on fire, the C abilty gives you 25% more dmg dealt. Anther curse, you can use anything in the alt-paths, but nothing in the main paths, so you can use items such as special steak, elemental sprite, etc. Also, try beating normal Azure Rest final boss, as it gives you good stuff, the best ones are Torrent, Oceanus, and Oceans Purity. Hey Man, here ARE some good weapon tips, you should start working on getting the Lanite Dematerializer, when paired with Matrix Accelerator It melts Bosses, although you Need to kill mothership for its materials. I Also recommend trying to switch to melee later in the game
Tips- Ill say you should try get calibur and/or torrent torrent is good ranged and calibur is good melee as first abilty of calibur is 250 rank you can use it and calibur attack speed is fast vary fast Also after you beat ares use the turret with engineers table for insain turret spam a good dps
For research base i reccomend Special steak (griffins). The Fat Man. Irradium Railgun. Pure casters (when i tried pure tier items werent aether cursed and i think they arent still). Ancient totem. And practically anything useful that you could bring.
True but now i realise bringing angelic drink its also a good option And for a weapon you could bring before tier 2 i guess is bacteriophagues (you can either get this by rare chance on irrafium enemies or merchant).
