Just a tip, instead of having to through all the hassle of making a tone of buildings for one project (which can be highly time - consuming), just import all the 3d building (provided the area you're making a track on has that data on Google Maps) imformation into Blender, and then import that to RTB

Hi there - just the tyre marks - and it works well visually - only problem is in AC, this object is then created as a road surface and the car will drive on the mesh that the tyre marks are on, and not the actual road surface below. Renamed the xROAD_x to something else in the AC editor, but still get "collision' on it. Any ideas? Basically, because its a road object in RTB, its coming though as a SURFACE in AC.

can I use Blender to accomplish the same thing? I need to create 3D objects using Google API, but wish to avoid paying for Sketchup. If the free blender allows this, then I'm in business. Your thoughts would be appreciated, thanks Eric
Been on the fence about this, I know I can't buy bobs track builder anymore but rFactor is my go to game and many of my mods were made using it, is race track builder just as capable? £44 is a bit steep if I can't make the rally tracks I play today.
You can make rally courses/tracks but there is no direct export to Rfactor at the moment. You can export the FBX and do whatever you need to do that way - but it's not as easy as it is for Assetto Corsa.
So I have doublechecked my normals, but one of the sides of the building I made go invisible when I import them to RTB. I even tried using xpacker to create normals with no luck. What else could it be?
does anyone know hot to export a full stadium into rtb? My stadium is made from different parts and each part has a different texture; does anyone know how to make all the object into the xpacker? When i try it just appear as a single object

Hey, I'm thinking about getting RTB, but I have a question: can you actually add different types of terrain and can Assetto Corsa physics read them properly? Like for example, if you have a road and on the edges is dirt, if you dip a tire into the dirt, will it get less traction?

Sketchup pro 2018 - This technique for building and texturing is impossible. It went incredibly downhill - well more like a cliff - and its just terrible now...
Use xpacker. Grab the kn5 from some track you like that has tiremarks and use a kn5converter to grab the tire mark textures. Then load them into xpacker, add the new texture, and load a new object from textures. If it's black in game go into photoshop and manually texture the .dds files. Good luck
Nesox Glass hey I tried doing that but my xpacks won't work for some reason. It won't show the road beneath it cuts the road and shows the map I stead. I know it's a pain but could you possibly link me an xpack or just walk me through it all and all the settings. None of the xpacks I've made seem to work

The textures become very very blury and low quality :/
@@beefcokguzel that's why you have to zoom in on the location quite a bit, and string together the chunks of land for more detail

you can give the terrain, and different roads different properties in the tracks surfaces and data.ini files.
Sadly this feature no longer works, just tried it and got a message from Trimble saying the feature to get photos from google maps has been removed
