- Anjem Choudary was told “I suspect you are a terrorist” after police officers smashed through his front door in east London to arrest him.
Body-worn footage released by Scotland Yard after Choudary was convicted of directing terrorist organisation Al-Muhajiroun and encouraging support for it showed officers approaching his house in Audley Gardens, Ilford, just before 5.30am on July 17 2023.
Executive director of The Henry Jackson Society Alan Mendoza joins Talk’s Julia Hartley-Brewer to discuss this further.

Unfortunately, Choudary was born in the UK and therefore, cannot be deported. The only way to deal with him, is to keep him in jail longer; restrict his association with anyone; wear an ankle bracelet and disallow any preaching. What has happened to the judiciary?
They should be in an offshore military prison. All convicted terrorists should be away from regular prisoners. Those being monitored should be tagged, no Internet and under curfew.

Choudary, born in this country in 1967, a so called British citizen, raised in a democratic secular country, with British values, and all the freedoms that that brings. Still wanted a kaliffate and sharia law, and was behind alot of radicalisation, that lead to many atrocities, such as Lee Rigby . Isn’t this an indication that somewhere along the line, that integration is seriously flawed in a particular community 🤔

Not a fair comment really there are plenty of other religious immigrants that can and do integrate well, just not any muslims, those moderate muslims are too afraid of other more radical muslims to do so, but many Sikhs, Hindus, Jewish, and other religions do integrate well.

As with the Police force our Jail systems have just become way to soft.
We have prisons that are uncontrolled with way too much of an easy culture inside them with immates taking drugs, wearing their own clothes and having way to many advancements, Back in the day prison ment a cell with noting in it but a toilet. No TVs, Mobile phones etc.
If you go to prison it should be a cell with a bed and a toilet thats it, they should all be in standard prison dress with no personal items of clothing and they should have a job inside the prison benefitting the public, Thats it.
