I have been living in this country ( US) for 25 years and had been crying ( metaphorically) everyday to go back to my home country. But when I saw that crowd on November 4th by the White House, subhanAllah I said to myself “this is home because you have all these people from different backgrounds and ethnicities chanting with you for Palestine”. Palestine is very near and dear to my heart since childhood. If anybody defends it, they are my friends, comrades! And I agree with Dr. Qadhi 100% that you cannot even defend your rights back home without getting arrested and humiliated publicly. The western Muslims have big responsibility to act NOW!! Having big houses, a comfortable life with luxuries that95% of the world population even cannot dream about should not be, shouldn’t have been our priority!! Thanks to Allah, we already have a muslim movement here in US working in the right direction to have a positive impact for entire humanity. Slowly but steadily, working in the way to improve the situation of Muslims and removing any impediments to spread the message inshallah with a clear vision considering the circumstances around us. But as YQ mentioned , in times of difficulties munafiqoon show themselves and attack you, and so called "muslim leaders" in other countries persecute you bcs you don't ally with their self benefit corrupted agendas and calls you "terrorist".
