I always thought this song was beautiful. This whole album, really. But this song was my sister's favorite on this record, perhaps one of her favorite songs of all time. She showed it to me a few years ago. Now I'm mostly a hip-hop guy, but I still fell in love with this song, just as my sister did. She passed away a little over two weeks ago, at only 18 years old. There was a private viewing of her, with just my dad and me. I told my dad that I knew some of her favorite music. I got to play this song for her one last time, as I spoke through tears of the good memories we had. I apologized to her profusely for not spending more time with her. And I told her that I loved her one last time. To the members of Cage the Elephant, thank you for sharing this song with the world. I was so happy to play this for her again.
I'm so sorry man, I experienced loss before, and it breaks your heart, but you gotta remember that their probably looking down from heaven, glad they got to spend their life with you

You know what they say, yeah, the wicked get no rest." Lyrical geniuses referencing their old most popular song, CTE everyone.
+Bart Skampson (Rude Boy) Damn dude, the first time someone pointed it out to me, it happened the same way. I read it in his response in time of when i was hearing it. The fuck.
I love the sound you guys can create. Its just so.. idk like it takes me somewhere.I like music videos, like your "Come a Lttle Closer"video, but this type of music makes me want to close my eyes and just be taken somewhere. Hahah sounds weird now. Killer job guys, and thank you
This song makes me think of my ED. Had it since I was 12, I’m 24 now. I’ve always used it to pull myself through the heartaches of life. I do it for love and positive attention from others, from myself too. Thinking it gives me more happiness, opportunities, the things life is worth living for. Every mirror I pass by I try to catch a glimpse of myself, if I look thin enough. I always feel I have everything to loose if I gain weight ,and I have to constantly prove to the world I am beautiful and worthy. And yes, I’m always praying I don’t loose my mind.
It's really interest how the different music structures (scales, chord progressions, etc.) affect our phsyche. This video my be interesting for you: th-cam.com/video/4rrCJ9Em_h8/w-d-xo.html
This song reminds me of a girl I dated. She was the kind of girl that reminded you of the earth before sin. Truly wonderful, I've got great memories of her. It's been some time now, and now that I come back to this song, I realize the feelings are still here. Great song tho
This has to be the most influenced modern band. there are like 6 songs sprinkled throughout this, most notably the intro version of Stuck on the Puzzle by Alex Turner. Almost every song I hear on the radio from them has this decent good feeling, but its trapped in another case. . . of goddamnit where have I heard this before
Santa Clarita Diet used this song at the end of episode 3 of 4 in their 1st season it think. Timothy, Drew and their daughter wrapped in the middle of the bed. Very sweet and touching scene. I think about it everytime I heard this song. Simply lovely.
Hearing these two songs that they've released it looks like matt's voice is "cleaner" in this album. Like, he's sounding more similar to how he sounds live.
+AlternateJunkie I dont think it has as much to do with Dan Aurbach as much as Matt Schultz not being able to (or not wanting to) pull off harsher vocals. Even with proper technique, you can only scream your head off for so long before you give out.
+Tyler McKee definitely correct. He literally screamed, instead of using proper technique, in the earlier years. While it sounded fucking awesome, that's horrible for your voice, as it destroys your vocal chords.
My dad's band was playing behind me while I was listening to this. it actually sounded pretty good through headlines. The bass line to the song they were doing matched pretty well with this one. Reminds me of what I'm doing with my band :)
I've loved this song since it came out. I remember what made me stop listening to it, it was heartbreaking. Right now I'm going through some shit that made me decide to listen again. It's honestly still heartbreaking. But I'll always love this song. This song is a prayer, man.
I remember this playing on the radio when I was 8 and I didn’t know what song it was I was devastated and then I found out a year later and even though my taste in music changed drastically this is still a favorite
this is the kind of song that makes you feel nostalgic and sad but at the same time you feel heartened
Majo Calle honestly you explained it perfectly
That’s cigarette daydreams for me
Mason T thuja
I do not feel sad, but reflected
Just that feeling of comfort I'm a time of stress. The fire is raging around you, but you know that things will be okay. You don't know when or how, but it will

Right???

I've been facing trouble almost all my life.
My sweet love won't you pull me through.
Everywhere I look I catch a glimpse of you.
I said it was love and I did it for life, do do for you
Will I come to pass or will I pass the test.
You know what they say, yeah, the wicked get no rest.
You can have my heart any place any time.
Got so much to lose,
Got so much to prove,
God don't let me lose my mind.
Trouble on my left,
Trouble on my right,
I've been facing trouble almost all my life.
My sweet love won't you pull me through.
Everywhere I look I catch a glimpse of you.
I said it was love and I did it for life, do do for you
Trouble on my left,
Trouble on my right,
I've been facing trouble almost all my life.
My sweet love won't you pull me through.
Everywhere I look I catch a glimpse of you.

Got so much to lose,
Got so much to prove,
God don't let me lose my mind.

This band is infinite.

Money don't grow on trees"
Cage The Elephant-Trouble "Will I come to pass or will I pass the test.

I love the sound you guys can create. Its just so.. idk like it takes me somewhere.I like music videos, like your "Come a Lttle Closer"video, but this type of music makes me want to close my eyes and just be taken somewhere. Hahah sounds weird now. Killer job guys, and thank you
This sounds so much like Bran-New Love song by the pillows
This song really spoke to me at a certain point in my life
by far my favorite current band! thank you cage!
The drum part right before the chorus *chefs kiss*
i cant get enough of this song ,lost count on how many times have heard it
+Nolan Becerra thank you for sharing the same feeling
Very Beatlesque - I'm amazed how this group's sound keeps evolving nicely
this chord progression makes me feel weird in the best possible way. especially the second chord.
Liam McFarland
Liam McFarland listen to alex turners stuck on the puzzle
its an e on guitar
It's really interest how the different music structures (scales, chord progressions, etc.) affect our phsyche. This video my be interesting for you: th-cam.com/video/4rrCJ9Em_h8/w-d-xo.html
I have incalculable respect for these guys.
Their music is so good to trip to
Yo....
I'm here cause I saw the trailer for "The Strangers: Chapter 1"
Dope song
This band produces the most consistent amazing music its so good!! Everyone else has few major hits, with these guys its just song after song of 😍
why are these guys so flipping underrated???
KitCat Kat better under than over
SykobillyOzzy138 true true.
oh so much love for this songg
This song reminds me of a girl I dated. She was the kind of girl that reminded you of the earth before sin. Truly wonderful, I've got great memories of her. It's been some time now, and now that I come back to this song, I realize the feelings are still here. Great song tho
This has to be the most influenced modern band. there are like 6 songs sprinkled throughout this, most notably the intro version of Stuck on the Puzzle by Alex Turner. Almost every song I hear on the radio from them has this decent good feeling, but its trapped in another case. . . of goddamnit where have I heard this before
nailed it.
love it, I've been listening to it for an hour straight
i love this more than words can describe
incredible song
My crush recommended me this song, i like both
Santa Clarita Diet used this song at the end of episode 3 of 4 in their 1st season it think.
Yeah that's the effect Dan Auerbach will have on a band :)
+AlternateJunkie Well, by now, I'm liking it! (love the black keys though)
Love this song
My dad's band was playing behind me while I was listening to this. it actually sounded pretty good through headlines. The bass line to the song they were doing matched pretty well with this one. Reminds me of what I'm doing with my band :)
6 anos e eu estou aqui! não vou deixar essa música morrer
this sounds so angelic pmfg
I got so much to loose
I got to much to prove
God dont let me loose my mind
everyone spells lose wrong the past tense is spelled the same
jessica tierce lose not loose
trademark joe there's no other way to spell lose, loose is the opposite of tight, lose is the opposite of win
Trouble on my left, trouble on my right, I've been facing trouble almost all my life.💗💗💗
i love this song .
glad i’ve been knowing this song before it was the strangers new trailer 😂❤
How does that change anything? How does that make you any more special than someone who has never heard of it before the trailer?
@@INDRIDCOLD83 it doesn’t , just saying 😂😂😂😂😂 it’s really not that serious i was just glad to see the song got recognized
*Listens to this 3847 times a day*
God, don't let me lose my mind.
I've loved this song since it came out. I remember what made me stop listening to it, it was heartbreaking. Right now I'm going through some shit that made me decide to listen again. It's honestly still heartbreaking. But I'll always love this song. This song is a prayer, man.
THIS IS PERFECT
I remember this playing on the radio when I was 8 and I didn’t know what song it was I was devastated and then I found out a year later and even though my taste in music changed drastically this is still a favorite
"Troubles at my left, troubles at my right. I've been facing troubles almost all my life"
My life in a sentence....
