The stories you're about to hear are all true. All of the topics and content discussed here on this channel are the genuine article and took place exactly as described. None of my content has been embellished and is in no way clickbait of any kind. I'm not here to sell you products or to get you to click on any affiliate links. I'm simply here to share my story so that you might leverage anything you see or hear on this channel for your own personal benefit. The idea being that you'll use the information provided to turn your life around for the better, just like I did. My story is one of hope. It's one of faith. My story is what happens when you finally find the courage to start believing in yourself, despite the odds stacked against you, and act in harmony with those beliefs. Although my story may be exclusive to me, it is not unique. Many others have accomplished similar results by various method. All of our stories share a common thread. That common thread is what I want to share with you via this channel.
So, who am I then?
I'm just a regular guy who decided to bet it all on himself - out of necessity and at at time when things seemed to be at their darkest.... and won.
What happened?
Through a series of life changing events, I found myself living just outside Dallas, TX in early 2006 with aspirations of pursuing a career in the arts. Fast forward to the year 2020, and I found myself deep in a creative rut. I was just about ready to give up pursuing an art career all together after a family medical emergency upended my plans for the future. Out of necessity, I took the gamble on a creative pivot and made the switch from illustration to fine art. By mid 2022 I was a gallery represented artist with work being showcased in cities like Santa Fe and the Hamptons of New York. I've sold just over $7,000 worth of work in the first 6 months as a represented artist and I was just offered an extension on my gallery contract. How did I do it? Pay close attention, I'm going show you exactly how it happened to me.
Follow my channel to learn the skills I also had to learn in order to gain the recognition I deserved, and my inevitable acceptance into the professional art world for doing so. All of which transpired as a direct result of what I have to share with you via this channel. These first few videos outline support building. One of the hardest aspects of creative professionalism, but a necessary one to master. Since this channel is relatively new, I cover those first to get the hard stuff out of the way. As an aspiring artist, you absolutely should be working on your painting skills, but you should also mind the quality of your painting supports. They are as important, if not more so, than the work that is on them. And let's not gloss over the fact that final presentation is key, no matter your creative discipline. If there's one thing I want you to take away from watching any of my videos it's this: There are NO shortcuts to creative excellence, despite what countless other TH-cam channels claim in their headlines. It's simply not true. You gotta pay your dues.
In future videos, I'll be deep diving into painting technique with an emphasis on value schemes, color theory, and principles of design - since these three concepts alone will dictate 90% of all your work.
