Thanks for watching my video. I'm gathering all the songs I shot at this concert in a TH-cam playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLwdc0qZNx0ta8vNo1LGdf73EvA7gQH4_h.html. The songs (so far) are Run Away (Sarah Jarosz & Shawn Colvin), Old Soldier (Marc Cohn), Spider Web (unreleased Shawn Colvin song), Sunny Came Home (Shawn Colvin & Sarah Jarosz), I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (Sarah Jarosz - U2 cover), Walking In Memphis (Marc Cohn), You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome (All 3 - Bob Dylan cover), and Into The Mystic (All 3 - Van Morrison cover). Enjoy!
Thank you Marc, From a Jewish "boy" 82 years who loves Gospel, especially the way you do it. Sometime our voices get better as we age. Cheers, Frederick "Rik" Spector
Thank you for posting this and thank you Marc. This song will last as it has through the ages And Muriel is forever immortalized and will also be remembered Thank you Marc for the music and memories always!
There's something in the way he sings this song like it's a thank you to Muriel, especially when he gets to her part in the song you can see him thinking about her. I wasn't expecting to be brought to tears but that part hit hard.
Live in Memphis. Love this song and I really had catfish and fried pickles at the Hollywood while listening to Muriel. Such a good memory. Marc thanks for feeling about Memphis like I do.
Random Alaskan here with a LATE comment but I had to do it. My wife and I spent a couple days passing through Memphis last week (5/24), stayed at Arrive. We went to Rendezvous, walked around the riverfront....we both really enjoyed the vibe. Cool little city. Sorry for all the gun violence though.
Just heard this song at a utube story of Elvis OMG at the end of a documentary of Elvis. It touched me in a way I never knew existed. Your voice is could listen to you sing all day. Thank you. I just found my favorite song. Which is walking in Memphis.❤
This such a well written song. Lovely hearing Marc sing it with such feeling and honor to the success of this song that the whole audience probably could sing all the lyrics with him.
He plays the piano so beautifully. I love this song. Cher's video of this song popped up 2 days ago, which I love also. Now I'm watching all the videos of this song.😊❤
My favorite song has always been "Ghost train", but "Walking..." is a beautiful and unique song. It is incredible to see him in 2023 singing with the same energy as so many years ago. And the anecdote was great!! ❤😄😄
I love this song. I play it in repeat and my daughters know it word for word. It's also been my ring tone for more than 10 years. Love you Marc. Thanks for such an awesome sing👏
Hard to believe this man survived a car jacking, in which he was shot in the head. I love this song but I think his best work is Walking in Staten. 😎🕺🏻
What a boring world that would be if musicians just played everything live to match the recorded version. It's the unexpected--a novel arrangement, new instruments added, a unique harmony created, an adjustment to the tempo, an improvised solo, an extended instrumental section, an embellished coda at the end--that makes it so much fun to go to concerts. And it's what justifies the ticket price and the effort to go. Otherwise you could just stay home and listen to the studio version. Speaking of which, you're in for a lot of disappointment out there. Most performers are mixing it up on stage to keep things entertaining for themselves and the audience. 🎶💃🕺

Without question, one of the best songs ever recorded...
Damn his voice is still great. One of the best songs ever sang and written on earth. Melody lyrics and tune were everything to die for.

This. Audience singing along to the chorus is awesome, heartfelt, nice. ♥️🙏
I can't explain it but I always tear up at that part of the song with Muriel and "Ma'am, I am tonight."
God bless you, Mr. Cohn, what a passionate and lovely music you have created 💫🙏🙌
One of my favorite artist. I hope one day I'll see him live.

I never *really* listened to this song until tonight. Marc, brother, that was beautiful and you did my heart good. Thank you so much.

Amarillo by Morning and Walking in Memphis - put those two on a loop and die happy.
why so damn fast?
It's the only version I LOVE.
Great. Now you ruined the song for me. Now im going to want to cry every time I hear it. Seriously, it makes me appreciate it even more.
I came here because of Cher❤
I wonder what Marc thinks of Cher’s rendition?
like the singing not the talking
Too bad Marc rushes this beautiful song, the lyrics fly by here instead of lingering & sinking in.
This song roooockss
There's always one on here like you...don't like it ? Then Google the original which was brilliant.
Great song. We'll performed. Think about how many times he's played this song. Gotta change it up a little.
Yeah also thought that too
@@bingovegas4867your reply half agrees with him??
You should hear me sing that song in my Mustang !?! Actually it's a Pinto !?!
Дайте того ,который пел
I personally like the tom jones version of this song from the voice better
🥲
I know wow why does he rush the song?
3s into the song he's like c'mon XD sings it too fast and flat...
Hate it when artist sing differently in person. Off rhythm and key, I wanna hear it like on the record.

If you want to hear the song delivered exactly as performed on the record, then just but the record and don't listen to other version!
@@cl2008cl2008 songs are dynamic, they’re alive, now…but i see what you’re saying about the record album..but both are equally good
This is sad
