That’s how I taught myself to drive a stick shift. In my apartment parking lot, I practiced 1st and reverse over and over until I learned the clutch . Then I just hit the road. It was raining, and had lightly snowed the previous day. Once you learn the clutch, and don’t choke the engine out letting the clutch out it’s just upshift / downshift for all the other gears.
In Australia (where I live) this machine like all other three wheelers (two at the front or rear including the Can Am Spyder) are classified as motorcycles. Riders must undertake a pre-rider training course and some (though not this model) are not learner legal.
In the UK too. You can only ride it with a car licence, if your drive licence is from before 2013. Other than that yes, you need proper training, CBT and all tests.
Can I ask how tall the lady riding is? My wife is interested in getting one of these but at 5 feet tall she is worried about touching the ground. If there was a dealer nearby we would just go and have a sit on but there isn’t. Thanks
With the weight of an MP3 a new rider needs to be able to get used to riding it without the tilt lock to begin with (in my opinion). It can be daunting to throw in extra info, being able to stand the weight by yourself is important. This was just a quick first time ride for the video.
As a rider of over forty years, I find it appealing as a means of calming it down a bit and that added stability for my old legs. I am retired and moving to a very rural area in the Appalachian mountains with lots of twisty bits O tarmac and plenty of gravel roads to explore. One of my best riding experiences was on a small island named after a snake during my honeymoon riding a absolute piece of Chinese rubbish with its intrusive buzziness of cheap plastics warpped squeaking brakes and a 50cc motor . It was epic lol World War 2 style German motorcycle helmet wearing ridiculousness kinda fun. Exploring the the small island stopping repeatedly at its few taverns for a snack and a drink of adult beverage in a culture that embraces such fun. So I guess I can ride a scooter now right ? . lol

I've just watched a Niken GT video. Now this. Two wheels at the front is a great idea as an option.
Have you watched our others videos on the MP3? Also the Kymco CV3 and Yamaha Tricity 300.

I agree that that is a more sensible option.

How is seat height an issue 🤔 lol

She’s 5’5”. I’d certainly let your wife sit on one first though, it’s worth travelling to a dealer.
Took to it like a duck to water
I have a 500 MP3 great bike BUT be very careful of very slow speed balance and turning very slow , the bike will be over in a second!
How tall are you please
She is 5’5” and I’m 5’10”.
She should have been taught how it stands up by itself when at a stop and when backing up before she rode it.

What is the tilt lock
@@winniepeg2020 it’s a button that can lock the tilting body when at slow speed (3mph), or at a standstill.

You’re allowed in the club, sounds like you’re having fun :)
