    Thanks for sharing. I have a dozen seedlings and wondering if one seedling grows into a huge clump. Or do you plant several together?

    • @GreenBeeExplorer
      @GreenBeeExplorer  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's best to plant them separately. They double their stems each year.

    Thanks for your video! I bought a house with this plant in the front and I was looking for advice on what I needed to do early spring . One question on deadheading/removing the seed pods, do you know what time of year you typically do that, is it late summer?

    • @GreenBeeExplorer
      @GreenBeeExplorer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Collect the seeds when the pods are black and crumble in your hand. This starts end of summer and fall.

      Hi Cathy, it's a beautiful shrub that moves to the wind. I have two videos below to show how it gets a little taller and then flops down a little in the summer. The green is bold and beautiful.

    My problem with false indigo is that it gets to be a big brute in my yard 🙄. Thinking of putting in a pot on patio . Then pushing the pot into shade for rest of season after bloom .

    How do you deal with black spots on stems of a baptisia?

    • @GreenBeeExplorer
      @GreenBeeExplorer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I keep my garden organic with a variety of plants. When I first planted I added a lot of compost. I do a little layer of organic mulch too. Don't let water retain around your indigo.
