Leveling sensor is called "leveling valve" baby drive shaft is called a. " jack shaft " . But we knew what you meant . Nice to see a owner/operator out there that can an will work on their truck . Few and far between these days ...
@@stormyweather9054 yeah I think I called it a sensor and valve both 😂😂😂 in hot rod world it would be a sensor since those are electric, trucks are air so yes it’s a valve 👍🏻👊🏼🙌🏼 I meant to be a driver, but the Lord had plans for me to work on this truck before I drive it again 🙏🏻🙏🏻👊🏼👍🏻 I am having a ball getting Gertrude up and running 😂👊🏼👍🏻🔧🔧🔧🔧 thanks for watching 🎥🎥🎥

When putting the drive shafts back in too, they need to be clocked with each other. Otherwise, they'll be out of balance with each other and you'll get some big time vibrations.

Looks to be that the truck 99-02 has had the later model 05- newer rear suspension added to the original frame for that long frame look. Prob why it has an additional driveshaft. Nice project trk wish i had it
I was told it was a 2007 cutoff, was told it has 600,000 on the truck since modified. we will get all of this sorted out and have a really cool truck when we are done. and yes project is the right term 😂😂😂😂😂😂🔧🔧🔧🔧🔧🔧 thanks for watching
Make sure you have set the ride height properly for the suspension that you have. Usually you measure bottom of frame to middle of rear axle or top of rear axle.
I missed exactly what your mission is with the truck? I heard something about drives haft. The drive shaft must be properly aligned or you will have viberation. (All over the place) The proper height is really critical on the leveling valve. That was discussed on your last video. (Or that I have saw).
@@ronnieterry4916 well my mission is to haul cars for the shop to shows, but first I have to fix the truck 🤣🤣 yeah not sure if the leveling valve not being hooked up caused U joints or that was separate 😮😄🔧🔧 but anyway caps were spinning in yokes, needed to fix that 👊🏼🙌🏼🔧🔧🔧🔧 thanks for watching 👍🏻🎥🎥
You need a special extractor tool for those U-joints. It would make the job a lot easier. Being that I used to be a diesel mechanic, i used one almost daily.

actually we think it was the driveshafts, actually multiple problems going on, leveling valve came off, so truck rode with driveshafts at bad angles. then driveshafts and U joints were worn slap out to compound the problem. so after 2 weeks in driveshaft shop we just got all 4 driveshafts back. now we get to put them back in. thanks for watching
