I own this one - the sound recording here does it NO justice. This thing sounds absolutely amazing and plays very well.
Played one of these in my local music shop the other day. Must admit, one of the nicest guitars I've ever played in terms of looks, sound and feel! Love it!
I fell in love with Jane the first time I touched the strings. But so much money as I'm poor. It was hidden in a bunch of other lesser guitars. Then out of no where it showed up in the very front of the display with a lower price and 35 percent off cash only price. It took about a year to save the money I dare not leave the shop without setting a price with hard case. Now I own it and the shop had three other customers who wanted it to. I've heard many guitars 3 and 4 times the suggested retail Jane is by far the best. Now it seems there are no more left for sale. Thankyou God and Epiphone. By far the best that will only get better as it ages. More than once I've been told it's the best acoustic they ever heard then they offer much much more than the SRP. I WONT PART WITH IT!!! Now I have eight Epi's that are untouchable both literally and figuratively. Don't get me started on the BB KING. IF THIS IS THE QUALITY OF THE FUTURE EPIPHONES. THEY MUSTER TO THE BEST. ONCE AGAIN EPI is no 1

The guitar playing on Jane's Addition Live Voodoo is sick!
I've always liked Jane's Addition but have never been a Dave Navarro fan. My respect for his playing changed significantly after watching that DVD.
First of all I'm not a Dave Navarro fan nor hater. Frankly I only knew him from the TV show Ink Master and he seems like an OK guy to me on that show. It had quite some head breaks over if I would buy this guitar or not. It looks awesome, but this youtube video makes it sound tinny (so do some others by the way). So I started looking at the Epiphone Masterbilt, which is also a great guitar but I don't like it's looks. So I decided to buy the Navarro online at Thomann.de. Yesterday it arrived and it looks awesome (Indonesian version btw), no flaws what so ever. Then I started playing it and guess what... it sounds really nice not tinny at all... I LOVE IT !!

I think I get the 'tinny' thing, but it's the wrong description really.It's high pitched yes but sweet and clear elucidating every note perfectly. I never had a guitar that responded so well.
I believe it's been discontinued recently.

It has EQ controls if you use it plugged in instead of accoustic-ly.
@gavquinn And I fully agree. It's very possible that I'm biased because the aforementioned SG was my first guitar and I have never played a Gibson before.
About Squier: I own a Vintage Modified P-bass which can definitely stand up to its Fender equivalent. Especially for the price, 300 euros vs. $1000.

I purchased one of these guitars and it is pretty bad ass. This video recording doesn't do the sound of the guitar justice at all. Looks great, built great, sounds great. For around $600 it's a steal and well worth it.
I have this one and it hasn't so much treble , actually , you can control the dynamics with the E-sonic and it's a really good guitar , and i know waht i'm talking about don't worry i'm not a 12 years old kid !
This guitar sounds better than your regular guitar. It really is premium sounding.. It think this is one of the best value premium guitar you could ever buy in your lifetime..
I like how it sounds honestly. Definitely not the standard acoustic sound.
Man the EOD tek from the hurt locker has fell backwards unto ruff times
why do they mic an acoustic guitar with an SM57? to me it sounds terrible if I record an acoustic guitar with it. There are lots of nuances missing. I prefere a condenser mic

I`m of the opinion that an acoustic needs heavier strings to sound like an acoustic. 11`s won`t do that even if they are more comfortable to play.

guyz i own this guitar alongside my Gibson Hummingbird Pro and hell no its not like this . this guitar sounds amazing full solid and ebony fretboard . i guess its the mic that sucks

For those that are wondering why it sounds better when he's not strumming it hard, it's poorly set up and got a whole ton of buzz happening, which is the main reason it sounds like "tin-foil." It actually didn't sound half-bad when finger-picked.

there is no bass in the notes at all.
I thought i was the only one who thought the guitar sounded like a tin.
This guitar weirdly sounds as if it's built specifically to voice out mid-range. High notes are weirdly tamed down although I can't say that I hated it or something :/
@grendelcatt probably because he's not using a microphone.....if you use the built in pickups you wont get a good sound

Not a fan of Signature Models in general and you'd honestly be better off going with a Masterbilt if you're looking at an Epiphone in this range.

@kurtcobain804 Not all Epiphones are crap. I own a SG that sounds and looks great, is well built and in many ways very similar to its ridiculously priced brother (or whatever their relation can be called). The craftsmanship IS a lot lower than Gibson, although I've read many stories about very poor quality control on Gibsons.
It is what it says it is: a budget line for people who you can't afford/aren't willing to pay $2000 on a Gibson, like me.

@grendelcatt from my experience epiphone guitars (acoustics atleast) dont sound all that great. if your looking for that sound then go ahead but i always fine an unknown brand (or a Yamaha acoustic) for the same price as the epiphone would sound better.. alot better.

Звук действительно чистый, благородных кровей, но нет сочных басов, как должно быть на дредноуте, звук меня разочаровал без подключения к усилителю, плосковат (корпус гитары "толстостенный"). Очень тяжелая гитара, но очень удобная для игры и красивая... Не советую, тому кто ждет от нее сочного, колоритного звучания акустической гитары дредноут... В этом ролике гитара звучит ужасно, может микрофон дерьмовый или на гитаре анкер перетянут, струны дребезжат!!!

Numb Shark This reviewer has a badly-set-up guitar. The action is too low and you can hear a lot of buzz. He also has a crappy mic.
I will link to a short recording I made but you won't get the tinny buzz. I also modded mine and put custom-light strings on.

In realtà suona molto meglio .... La chitarra in questo video ha un suono "sferragliante" ... bisogna settarla bene!

I mean the guy has sold tens of millions of records, was in two of the biggest rock bands of the 90’s, he has acted in 14 different TV shows and Movies, he has put out over 50 music recordings that are either his or him playing guitar on someone else’s album, was married to Carmen Electra, he’s been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Was asked to be in Guns N Roses to replace Izzy Stradlin and turned it down. I mean if that isn’t enough accolades to earn a signature guitar, what the hell would be?
