Just saw Logan passed away on his Instagram page. I never met you, Logan, but you touched my heart. I am so happy your final years were spent with a loving family.
@@seducedbysasquatch his foster mom adopted him. You can find the page on fb and see all the love she had for him. She foster failed with him and she was the best momma for him.
A kitten being born spontaneously with this Lykoi gene mutation is very rare, and those trying to breed for it ask on the upside of $2,400 for the most common "black roan." Other coat colors are harder to breed for and can cost quite a bit more so someone may have paid a pretty penny for him at some time. Of course, all of us here know Logan (a more noble name than Wolfie!) is priceless! Blessings to all those caring for and all of us loving him!
Maybe he was used in a breeding mill. That's the only explanation I have how someone who at one point paid a lot of money would neglect their 'property' that way. Or he belonged to someone in desperate need of help for themselves. I've seen pets in horrible condition from old or mentally ill people that didn't abuse their pets on purpose.
I thought they said it started happening out of nowhere a few years back naturally. Then people saw them and thought it was neat and started breeding it
I have a message from Logan: “Before you found me was a blur. I think I chose not to remember. What I do remember was constant discomfort and pain, and a constant hanging loneliness. I did not trust you when you took me. I am glad you did. You and the other humans fixed me, fed me, and now care for me. I am not very long for this world now. But I am content. Thank you.” You did good by one of my lost toms. Continue to care for them, you do so well.

I have never seen such a sad cat. I’m so thankful you rescued him. He will be able to live out his senior years in the comfort he deserves. If you think he was used for breeding and then dumped you might find his former owner by doing a search for Lykoi breeders/cats in the area. I would bet their breeding set up is less than humane. So glad that everyone on the team didn't give up on this little guy. From his visible malnourishment and the infections he had, I'm so glad you got to him when you did.
I love cats. About three years ago I was outside talking with my daughter and we heard this tiny meow. We went to look and found this 8 week old kitten that was almost bald and infested with fleas. I picked him up and he instantly took to me. My heart melted and I just had to do something for him. I took him inside, gave him a flea bath and I could not believe all the fleas that fell off him. After I dried him off he looked very bad. Bites all over him. I took him to the vet and they said he had scabies and I should just put him to sleep. I said no! Those are just flea bites. So with my determination and disagreement I took him home. All his hair came back. It's very soft, I neutered him and have him and continue to give him lots of love. For the record this type of cat is called a Lykoi cat and can be sold for up to $7000, they have a naturally occurring mutation that makes them have missing hair by their face and around their tail. So this guy was definitely not always feral.
Thanks for that detail. He almost looked like another species at first. When recovered and cleaned up he should be quite striking. www.google.com/search?q=Lykoi
My guess is that someone used him for breeding and never let him out of a confined area... cats claws dont get like that just because they're outside and uncared for. They wear them down naturally. He was confined somewhere that didn't let him scratch on anything. I bet he got sick and the breeder dumped him since he wasn't profitable anymore. :(
@@Palitato That's what I thought too, it's not normal for a cat to have claws like that! Unless in Lykois the claws grow unnaturally long, the poor animal was caged or kept in a place where he couldn't even move enough to consume his claws.
So wonderful to see him already recovering. Thank you for rescuing him and getting him the help he so desperately needed. LOVE HEALS! Looking forward to watching his progress.
He didn't put up much of a fuss when you trapped him. I bet he knew he was getting help. In November we trapped a stray that had been coming around our house all summer. We had him neutered and vaccinated. He's an indoor kitty now and adapting to his new life very well. He's shown no interest in going outside again. Our four resident cats accepted him right away as a member of the family with no hostility at all. We know nothing about his background. He simply showed up so we took care of him. He's learned to play and gets along especially well with our youngest boy kitty. I'm eager to see updates on this cat. I'm sure he can be nursed back to excellent health.
Cat: Gosh, this is rough. You: Kindly step in here. *trap trips* Vet: Oh, my! *gently snip and stab* Cat: Sheesh. Hello? Other cats: Hi! Come in. Hungry? All: *sigh* Felines only: *purrrrr*
@@FuzzyElf Thanks for the reply. I'm amazed at how well our first trap and neuter attempt went and at how well subject kitty has adopted to indoor life. He's warm, well fed, loved and comfortable. He's smart enough to understand this is a far better life than what he had outdoors even though I hated to take away his kingdom. I didn't mention he was covered in fleas and ticks, too. Obviously that's been remedied. I took care of that even before he was trapped and brought inside. Kudos to Front Line!
@@1940limited That's good news. Just like humans, each cat (& other animals) is different unique. You're all benefitting from a good fit; found family is sometimes the best. And since he's indoor-only, much fewer worries!
@@FuzzyElf I had to bring him indoors. I was too worried about all that could happen to him if left to his own devices, plus winter was coming. I didn't really want a fifth cat, but how could we ignore him? :-) He's indoor only now and seems to be loving it! Cats aren't stupid!
"Stay tuned fur updates" I don't know why, but that made me lol. What a beautiful cat. I'm so happy there are wonderful people like you Chris that are in this world.
By his slowed body movements and lack of self care (cats usually scratch objects to shed the outer layer of their claws, keeping them clean and sharp, the dirty coat and gunky eyes) you got him just in time. His body was beginning to shut down and give up. Were their any other conditions going on? On another note, mad respect for someone willing to take in any injured animal. Too many people don't because they don't care or can't afford the bill likely to come with it (not all shelters will just take an animal). I'm glad he wasn't feral. Our cat Booger (RIP) was a feral cat when he showed up in my yard. It took close to 7 years of caring for and sitting with him before he was comfortable with me enough to come in the house. He had one eye that was ruptured and leaked continuously until it was addressed by a vet.
I saw fleas and with the hair loss on the face and tail, it's likely kitty has malnutrition but also mange. The respiratory/eye stuff and those poor infected feet will get taken care of first, as well as dental work so kitty can start to get good nutrition, and once the feet are a bit healed they can bathe with a good mange shampoo and get rid of those fleas! Poor little cat, must have a strong spirit and will to live though!
This is from the foster mom's instagram: 'They gave him capstar to begin killing the fleas covering his body right away (he has a flea allergy) and also gave him a topical for longer-term flea control. He received an antibiotic injection to help with all of his infections (eyes, ears, paws, legs, upper/ lower respiratory). They flushed his ears containing a large amount of yellow, wet debris, and tan crusting. They noted extreme malnourishment and muscle atrophy. They also noted he only has about 9 teeth remaining due to severe periodontal disease and said surgery would be needed once he was feeling better. His breathing was extremely labored due to congestion with thick yellow nasal discharge. He had large decubital ulcers on both hocks resulting from patient unwilling or unable to move (too painful vs stuck in a small cage). Lastly, Logan’s paws had extremely thick nails that had all grown into his paw pads. The vets trimmed all nails and had to remove pieces of nails that had been embedded into his paw pads. They said the paws smelled “terrible” from the severe infection.'
When the reason someone wants to adopt a cat (especially one with such a ssd background) is because he is weird looking... they should not be adopting a cat.
@@milkyoni Why is that not a good reason? I adopted my cat because she looks weird and she is loved and cared for every day. Maybe because the cat is so weird looking is why they are not adopted. If anything....a cat NOT being adopted BECAUSE it looks weird is far worse than one being adopted because of its weirdness. We need MORE people wanting to adopt the weird ones so we have fewer cases like this happening.
Jade Nepia I think what Daniella tried to say is that people USED TO adopt this cat because it looks weird. What I meant by weird is "unique".Pretty much that werewolf cat being used as a decoration, neither pet or companion. That's why that cat being neglected (like that person said in the vid). The person who USED TO BE his owner don't have any commitment to take care of the cat. Such a heartbreaking look on his face.
Yes, that look just killed me & then to see him be so gentle & grateful that someone finally accepted him as a cat in dire need of love & care. 🙏🏻🐱♥️
Yeah that sad look on his face made me cry..but at least now he's getting the care he needs and hopefully they'll find him a great forever home 😊
They redefine the perspective of beauty... Fierce little cuties 😍 ❤️
did not expect such a weak cute sounding meow from werecat...
my heart wrench while watching at first but thank you bless your heart for the Help ❤️
please keep us updated of his progress Chris x ty
RIP Logan. I am glad you had a year filled with family, friends, and love.
You are a saint for rescuing him and getting him the help he needs! ❤️
Poor little baby 😢 he looks like he was in so much pain...his poor little paws 🐾
We love you Werewolf cat!
And we love Chris ❤️
Geez Chris, that poor thing was really really sick. What a great deed of you to save him!
@Yar Nunya hey could you talk shit about cats somewhere other than a video about one that had been horribly mistreated? Time and place buddy
@@nearvegnuggins,THANK YOU!! Blessings from Philadelphia, Pa.
Why would someone buy a cat for that much just to leave them behind
@@fezzamond
Maybe the owner died, it happens.
Oh, man, this breaks my heart. Not feral, 10 years old and un-neutered? Poor baby! Please let us know what happens to this sweet boy!
😍
My guess is that someone used him for breeding and never let him out of a confined area... cats claws dont get like that just because they're outside and uncared for. They wear them down naturally. He was confined somewhere that didn't let him scratch on anything. I bet he got sick and the breeder dumped him since he wasn't profitable anymore. :(
@@Palitato That's what I thought too, it's not normal for a cat to have claws like that! Unless in Lykois the claws grow unnaturally long, the poor animal was caged or kept in a place where he couldn't even move enough to consume his claws.
Palitato I was thinking that also. That makes this situation sadder, in my opinion. I am amazed and horrified at the cruelty that people can inflict.
Even worse: this means there are others out there being treated like he had been.
Soo sooo happy that you could save him and give him a second change. Pls keep us updated. Thank you so much
Yay! and he has a new home (thanks to all who were part of his rescue !)
thank you so much for helping him....that nail must've hurting him so bad all this time
I have never cried over a cat rescue video before. This one had me sobbing and pulling one of my cats in for a comfort snuggle
I suggest watching videos from KritterKlub. Most of their animal rescues made me tear up. Poor animals.
made me sad too
What about hope for paws? Not a single video from them that I've seen without crying
I cry at every single one without fail, I can't help it! 😂
@@martadiaz4438 wrong emogy, I hope...
God bless you for all your dedication and love for these desperate souls. I wish you the best!!!!!!
omg his squeaky little meow😭 i was expecting a low gurgle “moaahh”

Omggggg so adorable
He just sounds like a scared kitten. That is the saddest sound.
I believe THAT was the point I utterly burst out in tears!
Me too!! Ugh I said it
Thank you Chris. Let us know how he is later😁
Pool little guy, I don’t understand how anyone could neglect such a sweet thing 💗💗💗💗
jodiedoesit it really breaks my heart, when you see his sweet face and his emotional eyes, you just wanna help him 💗
Legolas Greenleaf mine to, I hope they keeps us updated. I need to see his happy face 😊
Thank you!
I can't wait to see him happy and healthy, there's so much sadness in the world, and then you bring joy to us all, in helping this lovely boy!
I've never heard of a werewolf cat. I'm glad that baby got the love and help he needed.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for rescuing this poor fella. God bless you & him & foster family!
*trap trips*
Vet: Oh, my! *gently snip and stab*
Cat: Sheesh.
I don’t think any of us could ever imagine the pain he must have been in physically and emotionally... god bless you for helping him!!!!🙏❤️
Thank you for doing what you do ❤️
poor kitty! im so glad you helped him!
Yup a very sick lykoi cat. Poor little guy I am so happy you were able to help him, he must have been in so much pain with those ingrown claws
"Stay tuned fur updates" I don't know why, but that made me lol. What a beautiful cat. I'm so happy there are wonderful people like you Chris that are in this world.
What a beautiful cat! I have never heard of this breed before. Thank you, Chris, the vets and foster mom for all you've done for this sweet boy! ❤🐾
@@brightblue2415 I hoped than we can see the cat recovery.
u 2 r wonderful
You restore my faith in humanity
aw poor baby. I'm glad you were able to catch him and get him cared for!
You do so much loving work. Endless thanks, Chris.
That is the weirdest looking cat I have ever seen, I want to adopt him.
Same thoughts
When the reason someone wants to adopt a cat (especially one with such a ssd background) is because he is weird looking... they should not be adopting a cat.
@@milkyoni Why is that not a good reason? I adopted my cat because she looks weird and she is loved and cared for every day. Maybe because the cat is so weird looking is why they are not adopted. If anything....a cat NOT being adopted BECAUSE it looks weird is far worse than one being adopted because of its weirdness. We need MORE people wanting to adopt the weird ones so we have fewer cases like this happening.
@@milkyoni oh fuck off douch bag
Jade Nepia
I think what Daniella tried to say is that people USED TO adopt this cat because it looks weird. What I meant by weird is "unique".Pretty much that werewolf cat being used as a decoration, neither pet or companion. That's why that cat being neglected (like that person said in the vid). The person who USED TO BE his owner don't have any commitment to take care of the cat.
Whoever adopted this cat is such a douchebag........
(ps:I like that cat.It looks cool =D )
Well done for rescuing this beautiful creature 😊he's so deserving of a forever home, with people who'll love and care for him, little gorgeous fur baby.
Wow he looks like he been thru hell. Poor cat.
What a handsome boy..he was in really rough shape, poor thing..I'm glad you were determined to get him..I will never understand how some humans can be so horrid, just dumping a cat off like that..I hope you find him a great forever home 😊
ERRRR. You do realize that as a werewolf cat it's A FERAL that spent MOST OF IT'S LIFE fending for itself. Look up the breed and you'll actually understand it.
@@OffGridInvestor he's not completely feral bc feral cats can't stand humans. nut I agree he's been on his own for quite some time
@@OffGridInvestor He meant this particular one was habituated probably had a family at one time.
