So this is the mneumonica stack, made by juan tamariz, which is literally a random order that magicians just memorize to have a universal stack that they all know. This specific trick was made by dani daortiz, and is sold by him. It's called Or Not, as I'm sure you could've guessed by the patter. Basically, if you know the stack, and have the spectator only cut or move cards from the top to the bottom or vice versa, the order is only shifted. So after placing the 3 cards in the middle, all you need to do is see the bottom card, and you know which are in the middle.
Also, I'd love free deck of cards, because you can't ever have enough of them.

Explanation:
I believe it’s he’s memorized the entire deck with order from position 1-52.
He’s done tricks before where he’s flipped through the deck and knows exactly which card is where. He probably uses some sort of memory technique, maybe a rhyme or some sort of association the card has with its position.
When the spectator is given the deck they are not shuffling, only cutting the deck... even when they “place” any number of cards on top/bottom they are still performing a very small cut.
Once the deck is “shuffled” the spectator can choose to place three cards, from top or bottom. Jojo needs to know this info. He does not know what cards are going into the deck though. This is the main thing.
When the deck is handed back to him, he flips the deck to reveal the bottom card. This bottom card (the key card, which Jojo speaks about later in the video xD maybe a cheeky hint) is the only other information he needs to know. Once he knows the key card he can work out the position of any and every card that comes before and after it.
When the cards go in the box he has to think about the order and how many cards were taken from the top or bottom.
He may have rehearsed this specific outcome to make it easier and to save time but he would be able to perform it this way every time without counting the spectators moves or touching the deck apart from setting it in the order prior to the trick.
Very impressive memory and calculations.

If a sequence of cards (bottom to top) is
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9
You cut the sequence in half so it now reads:
4,5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3
You remove the 4 from the bottom, and the 3 and 2 from the top and place it in the middle somewhere...
The sequence is now 5,6,7,4,3,2,8,9,1
You now see the bottom card, the 5.
You know the that the card before the 5 on the bottom was taken, the 4.
And you know two cards from the top were taken. Now because the deck was only cut you know the sequence continues on the top of the deck and so you know that the two cards before 4 are 3 and 2.
Jojos sequence is more complex and well done for memorizing it.

For the first trick I used to do a similar trick. What I did was memorize the order the cards were in the deck. I didn't shuffle the deck. Then when I saw the card on the bottom of the deck I'd know which cards were on the top of the deck. Since I never touched the deck it was amazing to people. You do more steps, but I'd you might do it in a similar way.
Its really impressive if you do track all the little card reversals. I minimize the number of times they cut the deck to make it easier on myself.
the way he made you mix up the deck doesnt change the order of the cards if you think of it like a circle, so there can be as many canges as the spectator wishes

Something about card asmr to me is most relaxing. The sounds the card make r relaxing. The magic tricks keep you interested too. By far my favorite series.
All he did was press r2 and square at the same time and it corrupted the override system and programmed the specific cards to be flipped

Magic makes me tingle and asmr makes me tingle it’s like a tingle overload
The deck is in a pre-arranged sequence (no shuffling beforehand) and the method of card placement is as simple as any cut. As long as you know how many cards are put on the top or bottom you can figure out the new sequence based on the bottom card (which you see until the last part).
When you ask the spectator to place either the top or bottom card face-up in the deck, you know that it's top or bottom beforehand and know which cards they are without having to see them.
Still an impressive trick considering you have to memorize a 52-card sequence. With that memorization you know where every card is placed as long as you know at least one card in the sequence and use that as a reference for where the sequence begins and ends!
Great job!!! Always enjoy your videos whether I know how the tricks are done or not. It still takes a lot of patience, practice, hand coordination and memorization for the advanced prestidigitation you perform! Rick Jay would be proud!

When u we’re doing the thing in the beginning u we’re looking at all the cards. The only 2 choices were top and bottom, so u quickly memorize the first few cards. U only have to memorize the first few bc the person only has the choice of top or bottom. So if they choose a card(top or bottom) u know what it is.

But you would split the deck. Which means the cards at the top and bottom would change every time you split the deck.
I forget the term but the deck is pre setup in a certain way that if he knows the bottom card, he will know the top card/card before the bottom. Since he never shuffles he only cuts the deck, the deck maintains the setup.

For the trick. You could take a look at the cards before putting them in the middle and turning around and after the whole shuffling. I mean it just 4 Cards that you have to remember the 2 bottom ones and top ones. If you can distract the person enough he wouldn´t notice that you peeked at them. At least that´s what i say how you did it

Okay, here I go. Ik I’m 8 months late. You have the 3 cards preset in the top and bottom. When you bring them cards to the top/bottom you can keep them in their spot depending on how you place the cards back. You then do half a false flip that would result in after two flips the deck being exactly the same with all 3 cards in the top and bottom. You can then have them and put them away. You already know what they are as you saw the deck earlier so you can just repeat them.
This is over simplified and it is a guess after watching it once. I have a knack at guessing tricks but this was difficult

I figured out how you did it! You weren't REALLY asking us what we prefer, you were creating a hypothetical as if to imply the viewer was present in order to both explain how you would do the trick, while also making us feel involved with the trick, even though it's a a video, which is not an interactive medium!
so it was either planned or there illusionist cards/plus i love tricks like this there simple but easy/ the deck also was probably ordered by a pattern

On the back of the cards, there are objects in each corner, they don’t give you a number but for example a symbol for the ‘king’ card might be a flower with one of the petals over lapping another petal! You might have memorised what each card symbols is! Idk if I was right but I tried :”)

Basically the deck has a certain graphic on it where if you look closely you can see paterns of the suite and or card. So he memorized each one, and when "you" pull the card, he just has to see the back to know what it is.
the trick was that it was a forced pick with a pre set up because you do see that he cuts the deck but not shuffles it and in meaning it was a force pick of cards.

The deck starts out in stack and then he memorizes which cards are where buy counting whilst moving the cards from top or bottom then he knows because he counts the cards and memorizes where the cards will be through stack🤷🏽♂️

you knew the top two and bottom two from handling the cards before handling than for the last time and gurssing. and you chose which top or bottom so you knew the 3.ps I called all 3 (I like how you showed us their order at different points great trick)
You have the cards in a special order I can’t remember what it’s called but all the cutting and top and bottom don’t actually do much to mix up the deck but when you put the deck back in the case you take a peak which allows you to deduct which ones they are

in this magic, the cards used are basically 5-10 from top and also 5-10 from bottom, just positions changed. and also the hidden cards are from top. so just by remembering top 10 cards and also bottom 10 cards, performing position changing by a calculative mind, finding out the hidden card without seeing isn't tough.
