Your end of your / start of year sounds like it has been a lot.
Before finding hobonichi planners I always had planners with the months embedded between the weeks and because it's something that has always been like this, I never questioned it. The layout might also be the reason I never used them. I always planned with only the weekly layouts. But now that they are all together I've found the monthly planner in me. You have a good point that they are so much easier to use when they are together.
I can completely relate to the feeling of wanting to toss a planner and start a new when things get tough.
Hope the remaining of the spring is a bit easier.

I have since purchased some tabs and that pretty much solves my problem. It might help you if you ever stray from hobonichi again! I used the weeks for the previous two years and loved them.
