i travelled 3 times to vaishno devi out of which 1st time by train till jammu tawi bcoz at that time construction of route was going on..and in next time in sleeper class to experience the route and in next time in brand new vande bharat express of that time..what a experience i had 😌

I would like to share my experience in this train. It dates back to 1998. We were travelling to Mumbai Central from New Delhi. Our train was delayed by more than 3 hours. We left NDLS around 01:00 AM and reaches MCT 10 minutes before its schedule time. It covers up the delay. Very few trains used to run at such speed in those days. I still remember our was hauled by WAP4
I ALSO VISITED KATRA DURING LAST YEAR MONSOON AND TAKES 14 HRS. FOR CLIMBING AND WALK TOWARDS DOWNWARDS WITHOUT TRANSPORT THE MOST BEAUTIFULL THING IS THE BHAWAN DURING NIGHT

Thanks Satya for meeting my long outstanding demand for undertaking journey in this prestigious train and one of my favorite trains . Wish you could have made full journey. This is a very old superfast train introduced in December 1977 and was in the league of other superfast trains viz TN/AP/KK Express. I am a senior citizen and have been fondly loving this train for over the years since my childhood. It used to cover a distance of 1973 kms from Bombay Central to Jammutavi in just 28 hours in its earlier days of run during late 70s and 80s. I have travelled uncountable times in this train during my service days and enjoyed the journey every time just due to its sheer speed. Journey from Ratlam to Kota, 267 kms was covered in just 3 hours. Thanks once again for fulfilling my demand.
Great Knowledge and experience of you Sir! I also like this train Its very fast and punctual compared to others but sadly in past times the number of stops have increased and priorty decreased
This train brought back so many memories. Used to travel in it in 2001 to 2005 and it was the one of the fastest train on the delhi mumbai route at that time after rajdhani with minimum stops and high priority. Now they have increased so many stops for this train which feels sad. Edit: At that time it only stopped at Surat, Vadodara, Godhra, Ratlam, Nagda, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Mathura, New Delhi, Panipat, Ambala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot. Such a premium train it was 😌
I am from bihar samastipur jo Humsafar ke route me aata h nahi toh dibrugarh Rajdhani me kar lijiye nahi toh sampoorna Kranti me kisi me kariye pl my favourite swatantrata senani
May me hum log gaye the aur Katra Railway Station ki har ek jagah explore ki thi. IRCTC lounge me rest kiya shopping ki, lunch kiya aur Jammu Se Katra ke shandar nazare ko enjoy Kiya. 😊😊😊
If possible please do full journey in Navjivan Express from Ahmedabad to Chennai Central via Surat, Nandurbar, Bhusawal, Chandrapur, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore and Gudur.
