Anybody out there have one of these and, if so, let me know what you think of the pickups and guitar overall?? UPDATE: I bought one and love it! The trisound switches are incredible - lots of tone options. You can get a Les Paul tone out of the straight humbucker’s or a 335 type sound using the coil splits or the parallel options in combination or standalone. Fit and finish were outstanding as was the quality control overall. The guitar looks beautiful, and the neck is fast and easy to navigate. Hardly ever goes out of tune either.

I have one of these. It’s been a long time that I have been doing other things. I went to guitar center to pass some time. I never buy anything like this off the rack. Kids come in and beat the crap out of them. Well, THIS ONE called to me to take it home. I did and I love it. I put some new flat wound light gauge strings on, and my goodness it came to life. There were some pick scratches on the finish. I bought a fresh bottle of STARBRIGHT boat polish from bass pro. I took off what I could, and went to work. With STARBRIGHT you do a small area with an old t-shirt or good cotton and you build up that area, then move on. Now, my Ibanez ARH520 looks like a million bucks. The Finnish looks a thousand feet deep. In another month I will do another polish job.
I did my HOFNER BASS and my Takemine acoustic electric. You can fill in any pick marks and the go away. I first used this stuff on my ski boat where the metal flake was coming through the gel coat. It took all weekend. That was in 1980. This stuff is superb stuff and it ain’t cheap. One bottle is forty bucks.

Just bought one in violin burst and its such a beautiful guitar.
Looks waaaay more expensive than it is and plays it too.
So easy to play, just such a joy to pick up.
Only thing that irks me is the position of thr top strap button...it neck dives a fair bit, but easily sorted by installing one near the neck joint.

I hope to find a local shop that carries one of these. I have a 10 yr old AM93 in the same color. I own a couple of Teles and a Strat but lately, I have been playing the AM93 a lot more. Those Super 58s definitely have a nice creamy jazz sound on the neck and can get fat and crunchy when needed. Definitely a favorite. Will be looking around for this one.

Im a sucker for the Ibanez semi hollows, man. Almost all of them, AS73 and above are incredible. The price to sound/quality ratio is almost unbeatable.
I have one of these bad boys, 520s. I have 2 AS73s, one i put P90s in and rhe other I found some old ass japanese Super57/8s and popped those in. Olive Metallic has p90s, Rose Gold has the vintage Supers. I rewired them both totally as they are not at the price point where the wiring and electronics are done to perfection. The 520s are wired and equipped with absolutely amazing care and top shelf components.
Then, my favorite guitar in my stable, my JS20. This thing is so perfectly spec'd that it feels like it was made for me lol. The neck is amazing, obviously the voicing of the Supers is unique to this model, even tho thats nkt denoted anywhere....i can tell you from large amounts of experience with Ibanez Supers, that they hotrod the ones in JS10 and 20. John has been my lighthouse, my inspiration...my hero, since i first bought his record Hand Jive, because i was starting to get into jazz and would, weekly, purchase a random Jazz LP at my local shop. Well Hand Jive junped out to me because well there was a doofy guy on it with a guitar that caught my eye. On first spin....my whole life in music changed. It showed me what a real creative, innovative and intelligent musician can do with guitar. The outside sounds qnd lines, his angular responses to his boppy cslls. Jesus christ he short circuited me haha. I spent about 6 months working for days-worth of hours (i have estimated based on dates and times logged in my practice book - 6 days total..in hours...thats how long it took me to transcribe tne entirety of it). Since that fateful week and a half, i have become an overly creative and tirelessly intrepid musician because of Sco. He just lit my fuckin fuse.
Anywho, once i got the JS10, i felt the thing. The thing that he must have felt, when he was slingin licks on his old Ibanez Semi. I have had a few of the exact models he used in the past, from the same vintage years....and whew they are wonderful. People who choose to collect Vintage 335s are just not very smart. The vintage Ibanez Semis are just better sounding and feeling guitars, that are more understated in styling and more advanced in tech and spec.
Ibanez makes rhe best Semi Hollows on the market, hands down. In all honesty, tho, the current release if Epiphones Sheraton II is kinda like.....hugely improved and very impressive. It just looks amazing, well appointed and flawless. They also sound dank, utilizing great coil splits. But idk the 750$ price point is so competitive these days. Sires, too, are offering wonderful guitars....amazing guitars. Everything they put out, not counting their Strat style, is top of the food chain st their prices

This could just be me, but the guitar was waaaay light and the body of it felt like it could be bent(?), and like plastic. Perhaps it’s the okoume wood that Ibanez used for this guitar. I’m used to mahogany/alder for guitar bodies and this one felt very different. Tone wise, it was cool. Humbuckers were cool, the single coil was cool. But the third setting was kinda meh, I couldn’t hear the difference between that and single coil
