Dimash is very smart and musically aware and will complete his Masters in Composition this year. He then will apply to be a PhD student in music. He does know how good he is but he is respectful of others and does his best to let his performances speak to his talent and hard work. He constantly praises his teachers and his inspirations, especially Marat Aitimov, who trained him in classical vocal technique. Marat has performed with him in two of his biggest concerts and Dimash still goes to him for advice.

He said in an interview that he always seeks feedback from his teacher after every performance to see how he could improve or do better. He still practices 3 hours every day. He refuses to be put in a box (genre). He trained classically and was offered a coveted position with the Astana Opera, but he turned them down because he wants to explore other music and see what his voice can do. His goal is to create crossover music, what he calls neoclassical music. He holds two university degrees in music (classical and contemporary &jazz vocals). hands down Dimash is his own league. When I compare singers I dont even bring in Dimash because what's the point? hahha. He is the personified form of vocal perfection. I have not yet come across any singers that comes close to his league. His VOCAL RANGE alone already puts him at the top in the vocal range category and that's just ONE aspect about his voice. Это очень сложный путь,приобщение людей к музыке нового уровня, ведь все заполонено фальшивым пением под фонограмму. Продюсеры,менеджеры имеют большие деньги с попсовых одноразовых песен танцулек.
Но у песен, в исполнении Димаша,есть особый магнитизм- хочется слышать снова, прослушать новые песни,узнать о нем больше. Так же иностранцы открывают для себя Казахскую культуру...в общем направление правильное, тенденция хорошая.

He said in an interview that he always seeks feedback from his teacher after every performance to see how he could improve or do better. He still practices 3 hours every day. He refuses to be put in a box (genre). He trained classically and was offered a coveted position with the Astana Opera, but he turned them down because he wants to explore other music and see what his voice can do. His goal is to create crossover music, what he calls neoclassical music. He holds two university degrees in music (classical and contemporary &jazz vocals). He is currently working on his Master’s degree in composition and he plans to get his PhD. He loves poetry and quotes philosophers. He sings in 12 languages and plays 7 musical instruments. Gwanjhope Dimash does speak English - not completely fluently yet, but rapidly improving, and enough to get him through both his London and New York concerts. He has a charming accent and a few Russian quirks in his phrasing, which leads some of his fans to declare he speaks his own brand of English known as Dinglish!
Actually he did not speak English in 2017 at The Singer but now he can converse easily with his fans in English

Для Димаша - казахский и русский языки родные. Еще он изучает - китайский и английский. Исполняет песни на 9 языках. Его голос охватывает 6 октав и 5 полутонов (с A1 до D8).
Не думаю, что русский родной. Он думает на казахском, в голове переводит на русский каждый раз. Да, переводит легко и быстро, но таки переводит.

hands down Dimash is his own league. When I compare singers I dont even bring in Dimash because what's the point? hahha. He is the personified form of vocal perfection. I have not yet come across any singers that comes close to his league. His VOCAL RANGE alone already puts him at the top in the vocal range category and that's just ONE aspect about his voice.
