She respects her fellow competitors and treats all with equal grace, rather than going about with noses in the air acting like the second coming of God. She also has more powerful tumbling than anything seen here- hence her MULTIPLE world floor titles among many others. This was powerful, but Simone is more so.
Let’s be honest. Simone lacks artistry. I’d love for Simone to do a routine like this. The hip shake with a hand flick and a shimmy doesn’t compare to this choreography.
The Russians owned this Olympics except the team which they only lost by .1 to 🇷🇴 had Khorkina not fell on the bars it was clearly theirs or Ekaterina on balance beam!

Although she was an excellent gymnast she wasn’t one of my personal favourites. She seemed just too aggressive, heavy in every move nothing gentle or elegant

I love this floor and Daggit was right...all the Russians this year were so different and still amazing and artistic...best team ever.

dynamic routine! just so complete- top tumbling and amazing presentation. there is nothing else like it!
She is remembered for being strong, but how about her well beyond 180 degree splits!? She was amazing.
I remember her for her aggression on every event, her take no prisoners approach. Such confidence!!
