This is a great video with lots a great info on the neighborhoods. We've been to Nice a few times, fallen in love with it, and will be retiring to Nice, from Naples FL, in April. We are watching this in preparation for our meeting with Adrian later this month. We can now better fine tune our search area for the perfect long term rental!
I just watched the full video. Wonderful you're going through the neighborhood quadrants of Nice. Example - you are saying the Quarter des musiciens is less expensive. Very interested in learning price ranges in each of the areas of Nice. Personally, doing research on renting inexpensively starting out. Being a single woman in her young 60's with limited income, who would like to find business opportunities and make friends to build a supportive friendly circle straight away. My intention is to educate myself on everything France 🇫🇷 All this can be so overwhelming. Wanting that initial feeling of comfort, support and safety. Thank you for your videos and all the information you share 🙏🏼
Hello Adrian! So happy your sharing more information on France and the special areas to look at! South of France is amazing for comfort and wellbeing. Love it!! Keep up the good work. ❤
Thank you so much for giving us valuable information. We'll chat with you soon, because we are planning to be in Nice and we'll definitely need your guidance Sincerely, Albina Lester Seattle WA
I’ve heard so much about drought conditions in the south of France, and coming from southern CA in the U.S. with the same problem, I wonder how this affects people living in the south of France, Côte d’Azur. How is the government dealing with these drought conditions?
This video is very informative. Well done, ladies. Special thanks to Ella for a last-minute showing of an apartment in the Centre that we eventually purchased in 2022. No street view or balcony but our city view is beautiful. Merci, Ella!
Great overview of Nice! Thanks! IMO reasons apartments stay on the market for a long time in addition to your points: the property is part of an estate that must be settled before sale can occur; the building is undergoing a procès (lawsuit) which blocks sale of any unit in the building.
Bonjour! An excellent video. I wish I could learn this much about other areas, like Toulon, Montpellier, and Perpignan. We are retired educators. We just finished a long stay in Europe: 5 months helping a new school open in Lvivv, one month in Krakow learning about WWII, and a month in Tallinn. My teacher's pensions and our social security, plus rental income, qualify us for the Long Stay Visa. But we are not sure which area of France is best for us as seniors. Healthcare, public transportation, and within walking distance to markets are important. Merci! Dean & Cindy
This was super informative. What if we want to live- - around enough English speakers to make some friends (but not as touristy as nice) - don't want to spend more than 100,000 euros - sunshine, sunshine, sunshine - want to step out the door and say "where should we walk today?". - hiking trails - close to a reputable university - where we can rent it out during the summers - at least two bedrooms, more if possible. - we don't mind some reno's, but at least water and utilities need to work. Thanks!! :)
Thanks for the video! You mentioned that noise is not usually an issue because of the thickness of the walls. What I'm wondering is how are the ceilings? In other words, if I didn't want to hear footsteps above me, would I need to be on the top floor?
What is the weather like between the months of January to the end of March? I am interested in renting a place for a month during the winter months, do you know of other options besides Airbnb?
Don't dismiss the value of having an expat of American community where you live. We can discuss this and any other questions you have during a personal consultation. See www.adrianleeds.com for more details. Thank you!
Thank you! Being somewhere in the center and near at least one of the team lines is preferred. Where you end up often depends on where you can find the right rental.
I enjoyed your wonderful video - the narration was expertly spoken - please let me know how to rent an apartment in Nice for the summer , arriving June 1st thru September 30th - with the idea of moving to Paris for the Fall / Winter. Thank you , joey d. 🙂

Most buildings in France have high ceilings, but this can vary as will the noise levels. It depends on the construction of the building.
@@adrianleedsgroup Thank you!

Great episode but I don’t necessarily want to be around other Americans in a city like Nice which you project will see increase numbers of tourists!

A bit disappointed that you only talked about Nice and not the surrounding countryside which is what i am intetested in
Love this video. Where do renters in Nice gravitate toward?

So it's very Catholicism with nothing to do except eat and listen to music.
