    That was a positive review, thanks very much. I have a few second-hand Antelope pieces and I really love their products. My personal; experience with Antelope service and support was brilliant. Sent an orion 32 to Bulgaria for opamp replacement, took less than 3 weeks for the turnaround and bought a second-hand Solo mic, had some trouble getting the mic emu's registered and installed. Support helped me out and sorted everything within 2 days. Great company and the support is now really good. Great video thanks very much

Sent an Orion Studio for repair, got a tech on the phone to help me with OpAmp replacement on an Orion 32 and 2 emails to get all my plugins working. The support is first class now.👍

    Hardware great but the software has the reputation of being iffy and buggy. They charge for their daw2fx plugin bridge which should be free with an interface. They have a sale at the moment mind, all plugins for €50 plus fx2daw for free. I'm guessing they are trying to compete with UA. If UA bring out I new non Sharc chip Apollo with maybe an arm cpu is be all over it but would buy anything with a current Gen chip as they are so outdated and give very little these days with modern computer being so powerful.

    I was immediately turned off when you said "per month." I DO NOT do subscriptions; either I own it or I don't. This is why I've been gravitating towards Plugin Alliance.

      You can actually buy the AA plug-ins as well. However, I could be mistaken but I don't think they run natively and as such you need AA hardware to run the plug-ins as pseudo hardware inserts being routed into your DAW

    • @henryhuynh2099
      @henryhuynh2099 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dandanthesoundman7607 this is true. I stopped using their plugins Because using afx2daw doesn’t work. Only the method stated above works. It works well. However you lose I/o. I’m enjoying the plugins again bc of the native. I’ve always thought they sound great.

      Have never bought a “plugin” and don’t ever plan on it. I buy hardware units, used if possible. I also build gear as well. Working on a tube compressor right now. As for interfaces I went with the MOTU 24AI and 24 AO.

    For all you considering an antelope interface don't buy one, their business practices are horrible they discontinue support for new devices,Charge insane prices for features you should already have and much more, i'd recommend looking at all the community has said about antelope in recent years before making an decision. even their own ex-employees are saying not to buy their products.

    • @cefahprod
      @cefahprod ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Got one and it is not as bad, there are some downside for sure but I never had a problem with supports. But, if you have windows, their driver are not good at all, afx2daw is crazy buggy. However, I got amazing performance with my zen go for recording and mixing (but I don't use antelope plugin)

    • @dandanthesoundman7607
      @dandanthesoundman7607 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      From my experience "I have 2 OrionHD32 & 1 Zen Go units", is that in the past yea things were not great, but as of about a year ago they have greatly improved their customer services and now I believe they are really really good. Oh, also my OrionHD32 are now legacy units and must be around 6/7 years old and still use them and although I have to run an update version 1 or 2 step back from the latest, they work flawlessly. When you say "discontinue support", I'm not sure what you mean, they are a technology company, so discontinuing support is inevitable, but 6/7 years in and my units are still doing well with the support I've been getting for them and it was only around 2 months ago when I got in touch with AA about the units and they helped very comprehensibly.
