For the people who are interested in the lore on this song, I haven't replied to the comments because I wasn't sure if I was supposed to say, but basically: Guy opens Sonic 2 ROM, modded it and added an AI to expand on it, but since the AI had no direction on what to do, it fucked up and now Sonic rots until he dies, but he keeps getting one ups, so instead of dying he just comes back to life only to start rotting again.

Oh I'm in LOVE with that Tails chromatic, easily one of my favorites now And I'm a huge fan of how the song develops from that wistful, sad piano waltz into a more intense, drum heavy version with those electric guitars, absolutely amazing!

The slow and subtle progression of the song is just perfect, and the chromatics fit so well with not only the inst, but each other. Both are very similar, and complement each other very well. That looks like a great "another run" of Flight or Flight. Like a sequel after it's all reset and Tails saves Sonic (kind of) but only in Fight or Flight. But Eggman hasn't lost. Tails just pulled Sonic away.
It's like sonic and tails got betrayed and died and got sent to hell, singing a dread filled symphony with maybe a side of revenge. I'm just yapping lol.
