Hi, I'm thinking of getting the us30. Have you any experience of strapping it on the tail while it's empty? As on some days I'll just want a waterproof in it until I put the jacket on , and then I'm not sure how secure it would be when empty
The main difference is that the Overlander S requires pannier frames to be mounted to the bike, the US-30 is a more universal fit with no brackets required. Finish on the outside of bags differs also.
