@@anthonyharveeconciliado1236 not every battle field has air support available and coaxial mgs can't be lobbed over trenches or scorch entrenchments/pillboxes It wasn't a mass production vehicle for a reason but flamethrower tanks outside this do exist and served a limited but practical purpose Also napalm fires are extremely sticky and won't be put out easily, I don't know enough about this machine to know if it was a naplam flamethrower but guessing from the era it's possible

And even if we'd use the flamethrower, the range is very limited like 250m unlike using a gun from an MBT which can deliver a blow to the target from miles away. And I heard that in the latest M1 Abrams, a commander can shoot the 50. Cal remotely from the inside of the tank.
