It’s natural swampland that man has pumped and redirected the water from. Problem is when the whole state has a wet season and there’s no where to redirect the water it’s gonna turn back into the swampland it’s supposed to be. I’ve been in Florida since the day I was born and it amazes me how now I see what used to be swamp turn into subdivisions and people unknowingly buy it. It’s a very risky practice

Yes your right! These construction companies need to stop building artificial dams, lakes, waterways etc. They are supposed to build around the lakes ,rivers etc- NOT create new ones. I’m not sure what’s wrong with the people, but the entire state was called the wetlands and they were only a few islands in the state of Florida that were dry. I think the more centralize you are the more north you are the better off You are in some cases, but the entire state is Everglades. All they did was cover it with dirt. I lived there for years and
Most of Florida was built in swampland most of the people were sold snake oil, but it’s taking this long for it to submerge. I’ve been through many hurricanes. Now I live in the mountains. On the West Coast. Rocky Mountains 😂
The major problem is every state is going to pay for people to live in Florida !

It is more a fact that this area was formerly a swamp environment and people came along and drained the swamp. Now it has flooded from the epic rainfall from Milton and previous to the hurricane.
People think that they can alter whatever environment they want to live there. The Seminole and other tribes used to live in the swamps. Modern humans are too attached to their comforts to tolerate living in a swamp. People need to stop altering the environment to fit their needs. That is our downfall!!

Rocky Creek did not experience as much flooding; possibly because in TnC, we are closer to the bay, but it flooded far more than usual. I believe it is because about 6 or 7 years ago the county quit maintaining the canals that flow into Rocky Creek. This caused fallen trees to store up huge deltas and sandbars, which stopped the river from its path to the sea. If we want to live in waterfront communities, we need to fund the proper care of the drainage systems.

No, it's global cooling and climate change and global warming. How many hoaxes til you are smart enough to realize it? Fool me once shame on you. At the first earth day in the 70's I laughed at the moronic we'll all be dead in 10 years from global cooling, no food so don't have kids. Didn't happen then they tried global warming in the 90's. Fool me twice shame on me. We didn't die in 10 years. Only a complete moron would believe the third hoax, climate change which they tell us we will be dead in 2028. Anyone want to bet their house against mine we will be alive in 2029?

I'm voting for Trump and I'm not denying that the Earth is warming up, so there goes your theory.
Instead of saying "global warming" like you're above everyone else, what are you doing about it? Have you reduced your carbon footprint? Did you stop buying plastics, driving a car, and consuming oil? Did you eliminate air travel?

It is called men creating artificial dams, lakes and rivers. I have NEVER seen so much artificial construction of dams being dug in the earth. God did not need men to redirect the natural flow of the lakes and major rivers- then when it rains heavy the natural waters have no where to flow or go. The result is massive uncontrollable flooding on a global scale.
