I will never forget Dickie doing a karate kick over my husbands head as he walked in front of the stage to go to the loo in the Royal Hotel in Bray over 30 years ago saying after him “Don’t be long!” Everyone fell around laughing. The last time we saw him was in Dun Laoghaire in November 2019. He looked great and was full of fun and energy. He kindly posed for a photo with me which I’ll treasure. God bless you Dickie and thanks for the music. Sincere condolences to his family. The light of heaven to him.

Watched funeral on tube very sad the end of an era Dickie is now in heaven singing with the angels and reunited with his beloved Judy and his son Joseph may he rest in peace
I have lovely memories of Dickie entertaining us on a golf holiday in Spain getting us all up on the floor with Love is in the Air..Always associate that song with him. RIP .

Love going to to see Dickie the last time I saw him was just before lock down in Vienna Woods in Cork I always had a great time listening to him I read his book a great legend rip Dickie my deepest condolences to his family ❤
