Good thing for me, I don't want to be a high level competitive grappler. Too old for that shit and sport BJJ has moved so far away from fighting that I only care about the BJJ that works for MMA.
Excellent video brotha!! Lots of golden nuggets in this video! Enjoy the journey and enjoy your progress! At the end of day it’s your journey and how far you have come.
There was a white belt kid who won a brown belt tournament. He had no grappling experience other than... backyard wrestling, some jiujitsu classes, and a ''DVD instructional''. He got promoted to blue shortly after.
Yeah if Rener Gracie is right it’s 1 in a 1000. I think that’s likely too low and if you exclude people who did like 1 lesson eg those that train for 6 months I’d say it’s much closer to 1 in 33?
@@kgill99 I am a student of Rener, and he is correct they keep meticulous records, I have seen so many people come and go. Very few make it to blue belt and almost nobody reaches black belt. People stall out at blue belt 2 stripe, most never make it to purple. You have to be consistent and dedicated, in this society thats hard to do.

This is fair. Jiu jitsu is different for everybody
Agree, i moved away from muay thai to practice mma. Muay thai is all fun until you found yourself on the ground.

Thank you bro! Your username is accurate
Khabib said that about mma not bjj.
Likes to tell white lies like flying arm bar wins when there clearly just normal arm bar just to get clicks
Feel like it applies to both
judo shouldn't have been taken away from jiu-jitsu, or in layman's terms they should never have separated
Wrestling in the Gi is Judo imo
L take

Only belt that matters is the one that keeps your pants up.
